Q:Would I still need to use actual plant food if I purchase the LiquaFeed, or would this be too much for my tomato plant?

Answer This Question

A:  This is all the fertilizer you need. NPK is at high levels so use as directed.

A:  New Thumb, additional plant food is not required when using Miracle-Gro LiquaFeed Tomato, Fruit & Vegetable Plant Food. Adding more fertilizer to your tomatoes can cause for them to burn so be sure that you are only using the plant food in intervals of 7 - 10 days. 877-220-3089 is our number. We would love to hear from you again if you have other questions.

A:  Do not add food if you are using this product as it contains the perfect mix for the plants. Adding food to it could possibly kill the plants

      by|Jun 3, 2019

A:  Yes unless you want to use it every week. I use this once every other week and once every 3 months I use a slow release organic fertilizer so the plants get what they need all the time.

A:  My suggestion, and I am not a professional gardener, would be to use only the liquid plant food. I have had extremely good results with this. It might burn your plants if you use additional feed.

A:  We are sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced with your Miracle-Gro LiquaFeed Advance Applicator. Check to make sure that the faucet is on all the way; water pressure should be at least 35 PSI. Take a look at the area where the bottle and sprayer connect. Make sure that the refill bottle is screwed into the sprayer completely. If there is any crystallization in that area, unscrew the refill bottle and rinse for about 10 seconds. Dry the connecting areas before screwing the bottle and sprayer together again. If the LiquaFeed Applicator still will not spray, remove the refill bottle and point the top of it toward the ground in an area where an over-application will not matter. Squeeze the bottle to see if the plant food will spray out. If it does not, the refill bottle is probably the problem. If you have any additional questions or would like assistance with our product guarantee, please call 877-220-3089 for assistance.

A:  I asked Miracle Grow and they said, "Keep it off the leaves as much as possible. Feed the plants at the soil." If I get it on the leaves I just switch the dispenser to water and rinse them off. No problem.

A:  Yes, it can. As you use the hose attachment to water/feed the plants, it does go onto the leaves as well as getting down to the roots of the plant(s).
