Answer This Question
A: You can use 3 or 4 inch. I typically use triple wall perforated pipe instead of the flex pipe.
Dig your trench about 1-1.5ft deep and 1 to 1.5 feet wide, sloped 1-3% to where you want the water to go.
Place fabric in trench bottom, sticking up on both sides.
Place pipe in bottom of trench with holes down.
Put 1 ft deep drain rock gravel with no fines in the gravel.
Fold the fabric over the top of the gravel, making a burrito wrap out of the fabric around the pipe and gravel.

A: I used it in my garden last season and by the end of the season I had weeds and grass growing through it. This year is much worse. I do not recommend this product to keep weeds and grass down.

A: Yes this material is very good for french drains. I used this for two trenched french drains on both side of a driveway. I never get any standing water like I use too! 6 ft wide helps with doing a good burrito wrap around the rock and drain. I used 4" Triple walled hole piping.

A: Yes. I used this fabric, perforated corrugated pipe at the bottom of the drain, covered the pipe with gravel, “burrito” wrapped the pipe/ gravel with the fabric and used landscaping stakes (little metal U’s), then added a bit more gravel, and lastly covered with about for inches of dirt. And I could post a video i would show you how good and clean the water is that is still running out a year later is.
