A:  Thank you for the question. Cure time is 2-7 days depending on how t was used. However, rain should not bother the adhesive after it is applied unless for some reason it was snow-covered or submerged in water during the cure period. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee

A:  Thank you for your question. The RT 600 Roof Tile Adhesive is meant to bond two surfaces together. It is not meant to be used as a caulking or sealant. Using it for this purpose will not yield the results you want or expect.

A:  Thank you for your question. The OSI RT 600 is not designed for vertical applications or applications of this nature. It is meant only for roof tile repair situations. In general, a thin set mortar base product is used in this type of application with a towel. It is recommended that you consult the Talavera tile manufacturer for proper instructions for installation on an exterior wall surface.

A:  The RT600 is a repair product for clay tiled roofs. If you can get the adhesive underneath the tile to bond to the tile beneath it more than likely will work.

A:  I would certainly believe so. I used the RT-600 to fix a roof tile that was broken into 8 pieces!!! I attached the pieces over a period of several days to allow for drying time stability and strength. The tile was then placed back onto the roof by also using the RT-600 adhesive. This repair was done over 2 years ago and it is still holding up fine. Good luck with your repair.

A:  The Rt600 Adhesive is not designed to be used on this type of tile. Not knowing any of the details about the project we would not recommend the product. In this situation you would need to test the application for suitable results acceptable to you.

A:  I do not see why not. Our usage was to fix one roof tile that got broken from the hurricane into 8 separate parts - like puzzle pieces. We glued each piece to the other over several days to allow drying and for the pieces to gain strength. When the tile was 'whole' again we put it back on the roof using more of the RT600 to glue it to the neighboring tiles. It is still up there and holding. No roofers wanted the job - too small - so our solution was the only option we had and it worked. The color even blended in fairly well so unless you know exactly what you are looking for it is not noticeable. Hope this helps.

A:  My roof only has hips, no gables. But I have been told by roofers that the biggest mistake is not using enough adhesive and placing it improperly so that it does not make good contact with the adjacent tile. My roof is concrete tiles and the ridge cap tiles that had been previously repaired with this product did not come off in Irma, while I lost others that were original. It was evident the roofer who installed the first roof did not use enough adhesive and in the wrong spots.

A:  Before you walk on the tile roof, be certain you know how and where to walk on it. If you have a flat cement tile roof you will almost certainly crack the tile if you walk on it. I used this adhesive to cement a flat cement roof tile that cracked when a tree limb fell on it. It was located near the bottom edge of the roof so I could make the repair from a ladder. I remove the broken piece of tile, applied the cement to one side of the brake that mated with the other piece of tile. Then I pressed the broken piece back in place. The cement is very strong. It has been several years and the tile is still in place. I would be hard put to find it. Depending on how and where the tile is broken, another option might be to replace the entire tile. You will probably need to brake the damaged tile with a hammer and remove the pieces. If the original tile is held down with a screw, you will have to remove the screw. The screws are designed to brake off level with the roof when they bent, Clean the area really well. Apply the cement to both overlaps and slip the tile into place. Be certain to align the bottom edge with the existing tile. The cement will hold the tile in place. Some type of flat cement tile has a cement lip located at the top underside of the tile that may have to be removed so the new tile will slip over the wood strip that positions the tile. Use a chipping hammer or chisel and hammer, to carefully chip the lip off the flat tile. Slip the tile over the wood strip and align the bottom edge with the exiting tile. Once the cement cures, it will hold the tile in place.

A:  Yes, the RT600 Roof Tile Adhesive be used on concrete tiles located on roof gable end if this is a repair situation. It is important that sufficient adhesive be used and make proper contact to all surfaces. The adhesive is not meant to be exposed or smeared. Depending upon the severity of the repair needed a stronger faster setting adhesive such as the Loctite PL Premium 3X can be used especially if you live in northern climates.
