If there is no pull on the magnet, it doesn't contain the right metals and will not generate heat.

Follow cleaning directions as sen below. • Hand wash with warm water and dish washing liquid. • Donot use abrasive powders or steel wool. • Donot place in dishwasher. • Empty Kettle of excess water after each use. • To remove rust and mineral deposits from inside of Kettle,boil water for 30 minutes with 2T baking soda and 3T lemon juice. Rinse thoroughly.
