A: there are adapters that you can buy to fit your drain size...some of the drains come with them....I don't think this one does.

Q:How do you prevent the oil-rubbed bronze coating from flecking off? Seems like it happens after a couple months. Is this just a bad product?

A: Simplest way, you unscrew one of the screw. Bring to the store to match a screw will be more accurate. On the same time you may choose a brass screw or stainless steel for better resistant. Here I suggest you may try some antiseize grease from auto store to grease the thread. that will save you alot of trouble due to metal oxidiation.

A: No, it's not possible. These are specially designed to flake and corrode after several months, so that customers must purchase a new complete drain fixture and retile their showers.
