The pocket door pull itself is larger (3-7/32 in x 2-9/32 in) than the cut out needed so the cut out is not visible. A:  Wouldn't recommend it. The second mount screw is set relatively close to the edge of the required cutout and might not give enough shoulder strength for continuous use.
