The Everbilt Hinge Pin Doorstop is held in place with a hinge pin. The self-adjusting pad makes full contact with the door. An oversized bumper mounted on an adjusting screw protects the door trim.
Q:How can this door stopper be used with this hinge?the cap does not come off??

Answer This Question
A:Â To remove a pin from a hinge, be sure that the hinge is in the open position. You can use a hinge pin punch, or nail and hammer method to remove the pin. In order to remove the pin, make sure you are underneath the end of the pin at the bottom of the hinge, not on top. The cap itself does not come off, but there is an opening or hole in the cap to place a hinge pin punch/nail under there.

Nice Look, But doesn't allow door to fully open.
The Everbilt Satin Nickel Hinge Pin Door Stop is made strong and performs really well with preventing my doors from opening to open to far. The only concern I have is that it doesn't open a wide as I would like. The reason I'm using this method of door stop than the floor molding spring stop, is due to there being another door which also opens in the same direction. You can see in my pictures that although this prevents me from having the doors hit each other, it only allows me to open it so far. If you are looking to open your door all the way to the wall. I suggest using a door spring stop.

Bad design
The angles are wrong on these, so the tip of the round pad is not flat against the surface. Tried them on two different doors and both are the same.

Everbilt oil-rubbed bronze door stop
Purchased this door stop in the 5-pack. They are much nicer looking then the online photo. They are dark bronze with lighter bronze on the edges, giving it a realistic oil-rubbed finish. I was short one door stop so I purchased it at the store and it looked more like the online photo. So if want the nicer finish, buy them in the 5 pack, not individual packages.
