Q:Do you need an Electrician to install a Orein 70 watt equivalent LED corn bulb only uses watts? I already have an existing mercury vapor lamp. And can you give me the part# for an adapter for E-39 that fits my mercury lamp so I can install the bulb?

Answer This Question
A: Since you are replacing a mercury vapor lamp, you will need to cut/bypass the ballast in your fixture to install this bulb. There are instructions included, but an electrician may be recommended if you are not familiar with the process. We don't sell an medium E26 to mogul E39 socket adaptor separately, but you can use any adaptor certified by UL with this bulb. We do sell a bulb that includes an adaptor under item # 310460009. It is a 100W equivalent.

Answer This Question
A: This bulb can be used in enclosed fixture. It is a directional bulb so the base swivels to direct the light. It produces 7500 lumens. You may want to try it to ensure it will fit inside your fixture and that it is the appropriate lumens for your application. This product has E26 base with ES39 adaptor so it should fit your fixture regardless of the base. Returns are free if it doesn't work for you.
