A:  My experience has been that the more acidic the soil the bluer hydrangeas get.

A:  Hello PAplanter, Thank you for reaching out to us. Our Let's Dance Rave Hydrangea will change its bloom shade dependent on the PH level of the soil. The more acid in your soil, the bluer the bloom. The more alkaline in the soil, the pinker they become. Too encourage pink, add lime. The pink will not appear right away but over time. Add aluminum sulfate to the soil to encourage blue flower color. I hope this helps! A:  i don't know as I planted mine outdoors when I received it, and it has done well. However, I would think that if you kept it indoors, you'd have to 'weather' it before you planted it outdoors, that it getting it used to the change in environment.

A:  Hi Dkrull77, Thank you for asking. We don't recommend planting your hydrangea indoors. Fall is a great time to plant shrubs, you can plant up to 6 weeks before your ground freezes. Once the ground is frozen, root growth will cease almost entirely until spring, and that six-week window gives the plant time to get established enough to withstand cold and snow. A:  It is because the blooms have been or are still growing. When they mature they will open in a few weeks with a berry color.

A:  The answer depends on a number of things, such as still in the pot versus planted, amount of light and amount of heat! Some potted Hydrangeas need to be watered as much as twice a day, while an older, more established plant that has been in the ground for several years, might only need water once a week! Generally speaking, though, Hydrangeas for the most part like a lot of water!

A:  It is my experience that these grow much better in shaded areas.

A:  Yes, I have one in an area with partial sun and one in an area with full sun. The one in the partial sun is growing much faster. I love this shrub. Best hydrangea you can buy.
