      Answer This Question

A:  This is for the Philips WIZ line. I believe you may need to look at the Hue line if that’s what you have already. The WIZ doesn’t require a hub

      by|Jun 18, 2022

A:  This bulb is not compatible with Philips Hue. This bulb is powered by the WiZ platform and connects directly to your WiFi. There are 100w equivalent Hue bulbs, however - which is what you will need if you are looking to expand your existing Hue system

Q:will the bulb remember the last setting when turned off with wall switch?
          by|Jun 3, 2022

          Answer This Question

A:  No, if you use the wall switch to turn light on and off, the bulb turns on in a standard white. If you want the bulb to turn on at its last color leave the switch “on” all the time and you use the Wiz app to turn in and off the bulb. You can also set multiple programmed schedules with the app.

              Answer This Question

A:  This bulb is not rated for outdoor use, so it should not be used in any application where it would be directly exposed to water or the elements.

A:  That is a good question. The data provided does not say " Damp Locations". The outdoors is considered a "Damp Location". Other than that, it is a great product. I have then in living table lamps and night stand. I have them program to turn on and off by them self. Just FYI... this bulb is a 5 year bulb if it's used for only 3 hours daily.

A:  100%. I used 3 of my bulbs for the outside. There were coverings, but they do perfect out there

Q:Can I use this to replace my 3-way bulb on a floor lamp?

                        Answer This Question

A:  The traditional 3-way lamp has multiple contacts and each contact connects to a filament. So when you toggle the switch is goes from low to medium to high light output. It is possible to use it. However, I would recommend placing the traditional 3-way bulb in the floor lamp, then make sure the light output of the bulb is at the maximum. Then you should always keep the switch at that setting and now screw in the Philips Wi-Fi Lamp. It should work. However, the switch should not be toggled. Dimming and other functions are controlled via the app or wiz mote
