A:  Hello Waynec, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. The LA2520 is the correct hose replacement for your vacuum. However, it will not work just the hose assembly out from the box. You still need the correct end hose interlock in order for it to work with your vacuum. The old end hose interlock is the one you need. You may pull out the one the came with your old hose and use it with the new hose. If you no longer have it, we can send one to you at no cost. The friction fit hose adapter has a part number 815096 and 829900 for 2 1/2" locking adapter that locks the older 2 1/2" RIDGID accessories. However, the adapter that locks to vac and accessories is not available as a separate part. A:  I could not find an answer to this anywhere but my guess is that it is a very durable bendable plastic. I have stood on it, laid on it and never had a problem with it. I have had it for about two years and use it monthly many times. My main use was to get pink insulation out of the attic.

Dual-Flex Tug-A-Long Locking Vacuum Hose will work with HD14000 together with the VF6500 OSHA Kit filter and cyclonic bags. However, the dust will only be sucked up through the hose that is connected to the vacuum's suction port and will be collected inside the drum. Only clean air will be blowing out of the exhaust port of the vacuum. A:  Hello GokA, Thanks for your inquiry about our product. The two hoses cannot be connected. The original hose of WD12780 is 1-7/8" in size while the LA2522 is 2-1/2" in size. You may return this hose to Home Depot in accordance with their return policy. You can either get the VT1720 or VT1722 hose.
