A: If you scroll down the Home Depot product listing page you will come to a section entitled Product Details. If you expand that section, it contains PDFs of product documents that will give you details of the different components available in this system. The items are sold separately as each installation requires different items. With this item you are supplied with the back panel that mounts against the wall. The front cover that attaches to it. And two clips.

Q:Can all the electric, plumbing ,drain fit ins
ide.

Answer This Question
A: As every AC unit is different, I can’t give you a definitive answer. You would need to put the questions to the HVAC contractor. These covers are used for the line set. The two copper tubes that bring the refrigerant to and from the outdoor condenser. The wiring between the indoor and outdoor unit is sometimes low voltage and sometimes high voltage. So, the size varies. As to the drain you would not run a condensate drain in a line set cover.

Q:This product is rated down to -4 degrees F. Minnesota often gets colder than that during in the winter. Is this product not suitable for exterior use in Minnesota?

Answer This Question
A: Great question. The -4 is a working temperature. In fact I would never work with plastic below 20 degrees. Plastic gets brittle when it gets cold. The colder the more brittle. So what they are saying here is that if it is -4 and you go to cut or fit this product it may beak or shatter on you. Again this would be true with most plastics. However if you install this product in warmer weather and it gets down below -4 it is NOT going to suddenly self destruct. You will be be fine.

A: I ended up cutting it with a fine tooth hacksaw. I've used my miter saw for material like this but it has a tendency to chip on the edge being cut.

A: no
by|Apr 27, 2019
A: not this one, also depend on mini split size
by|Apr 27, 2019
A: My experience says no as that would mean a total of six insulated lines, 3 feeds and 3 returns. Even if you could make them fit you would not want to compress the insulation as the trapped air is what makes insulation work. However they do make this product in different sizes. If you look under "Info and Guides" on the Home Depot product listing page you will see a link to the brochure. On the fifth page is a diagram showing the dimensions of larger versions of this product. If you take measurements of you line sets and one of the larger series will fit, you could special order them through a Home Depot store. Special orders are currently not done on line. If you decide to do that and either you or the store have questions you may give me a call at 978 651 3301

A: The cover splits into halves and you mount the flat back portion to the wall with screws (bottom of pic) and the top rounded portions snaps onto it once you are done.

A: It screws to the wall. It snaps apart so you can mount base & line sets then cover snaps on. It’s an awesome product for installing a mini split.
