Q:IS THE TOP SHELF UNIT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE? AND WHAT IS THE DIMENSION FROM THE FLOOR OF THE BOTTOM ...

Answer This Question

A:  On this unit, the bottom of the lower shelf sits 2" off the cabinets base. The upper shelf has 2 sets of mounting holes which will put the bottom of the upper shelf at either 10" or 12" above the base of the lower shelf. The top of the upper basket will be either 17" or 19" off the cabinet base.

    A:  Bottom to top is 20.5 inches. Yes, there are 2 different heights for the top shelf

    by|May 5, 2023

      A:  MINE is 171/2 in from the kitchen floor. it is adjustable during assembly 2 in higher to 4 in lower in 2in increments. space between my shelves is 10" we split the diff. to maximize our storage needs of equally sized pans. if I had taller stuff I would assemble it in the shortest configuration and use the top shelf for the large stuff because there is more freeboard at the top of the cabinet, and I don't like bending over anyway ;>}

      by|May 5, 2023

      A:  You have several heights you can make the top shelf when you put this unit together. Once it’s installed, no, you can’t then adjust it where you want. You’d have to uninstall it and reposition the top shelf to a different height then reinstall. The distance on mine is about 12” between the two shelves. I can fit most household cleaners in between, as long as they aren’t a supersized container. Hope this helps you decide.

                    A:  Yes, they are mounted to the base of the cabinet, not the sides.

                    A:  Yes you could mount side by side.

                      A:  If your current shelves are adjustable or can be removed, then the 19 inch height would work. I installed several of these in lower kitchen cabinets that had a 21 inch height and they work great! I would suggest that if this is going to be mounted onto adjustable wooden shelf, you secure the wooden shelf to back of cabinet with L bracket or some other type of brace. This will keep adjustable wooden shelf from tilting "up" under weight of extended rev-a-shelf unit, once it is loaded with pantry items.

                        A:  Yes. These pull-outs are fastened to the bottom and back of the cabinet, not the sides. It would be easy to mount them side by side.

                        A:  I am not sure that I understand what you have. If you have a cabinet with a shelf in the same space where the unit will go, the shelf will have to be removed. If that leaves a conventional cabinet or similar space with an opening of at least 19+" high, then yes you can securely mount 3 separate units. The unit attached in 3 places: the inside vertical edge of one door frame, the floor of the cabinet and the back of the cabinet (with an adjustable depth bracket). Two units can be installed in the 33.5" wide opening...one attached to each of the side door facings. One can be installed in the 16.75" wide opening attached to either side of the door facing.

                                  A:  The height of the top shelf (bottom too, for that matter) cannot easily be modified. You'd have to precisely drill holes in the side straps (3/16"?) and possibly tap them. If it were important to me I'd try it, because I love these units, but they were not meant to be adjustable height, and I bet very few people do it on their own.

                                    A:  The dimensions given are the outside dimensions. The unit should easily slide into the cabinet door opening. Don't know about the larger sized one - you may have to check REV-A SHELF's website.

                                    A:  I don't know about the special order, but I got several units of various sizes last year and they are great!! The dimensions given are the minimum inside (open space of the cabinet door) measurements of the cabinet. The outside dimension of the product is slightly less than the given dimensions. We are very happy with ours. I installed them myself.

                                    A:  The dimensions given are the outside dimensions of the product. Total height of 19 in. is only if you use the top holes to attach the top shelf. I used the lower holes so my total height is 17 in. If your cabinet opening is 21 in. high and 15 in. wide and you have regular hinges that don't stick out into the opening you should be OK. The back brace is adjustable in and out so cabinet can be a little deeper than 22 in. but not too much. I ordered 2 of the 20.75 in. for two of my larger cabinets from HD no problems

                                      A:  These are outisde dimensions. 14.75" is the outside dimension, but the basket that slides in and out of the cabinet is only 14-1/4" inches. You can order the large version online. 5WB2-2122-CR is the part #

The slide extensions and the baskets (with the top basket in the lower of two positions provided) aren't in line with typical hinge locations. Hope this helps.

                                                            A:  Are you measuring from slide to slide or from outside to outside? You have to count the upright supports that will extend the outside to outside dimensions. The part that slides in and out of the cabient is only about 14.25" when extended. When the unit is completely closed inside of the cabinet it is right at 14.75".
