Answer This Question
A: Hi Chris, you may need an expansion tank for a closed-loop system but would be up to the water pressure fluctuations. We would recommend to reach out to a licensed plumber for assistance on finding out if you do need a thermal expansion tank and which one would be right for your home.

Q:How to adjust the temperature on a them 6 gal

Answer This Question
A: Hi Bath, to adjust the temperature on the model attached to your question would be behind the panel door screwed onto the side of the water heater. Behind this panel, removing the insulation you will see a thermostat reading and indicator that can be moved to increase or decrease the temperature. We do recommend to have the unit on 120 degrees as a higher temperature can be risk of scalding water.
