Would I still need to provide a brass union or dielectric union if one end connects to copper and the other to the water heater nipple?
Asked by: jh
No. The pipe is made of stainless steel. It has a rubber liner. There is a rubber gasket which isolates. No galvanic action can occur.

I just installed 2 days ago. I over tightened one end of one supply line and it is slightly leaking there. How do I fix this? 1. Loosen in. 2. Remove and reinstall. 3. Change the washter. 4. Get a new supply line.
Asked by: Nima
where is the leak? if between the threads of connector to HWH male, then verify you used plumbers tape (Teflon) to seal the threads before installing the connector. Using bare will leak. If the leak is on the hose, I can guess it may be the crimped area of the hose female connector (assuming you're using a female-female ended hose). This is not a quality product I've found to my disappointment 2x now!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Same as others I've read. Leaked at red disk almost immediately, though,it was maybe a drip every 1½ hours. I let it go. Big mistake! Totally failed at 11:30pm last night after about 2 years. Absolutely would NOT recommend!

Made in China Everbuilt braided hose leaked 3 days after being properly installed on our attic hot water heater (80 psi.) The leak came from between the red disk and the silver crimped connector. The hose was properly torqued upon installation. We incurred considerable expense after hiring a professional plumber to examine this attic installation and remove both Everbuilt braided hoses and install stronger stainless steel corrugated supply lines which were made in Taiwan. Many professional plumbers despise these braided water heater supply hoses and I --surprisingly-- know why. Never install these on a water heater. Use what professional plumbers use--which is either stainless corrugated or copper corrugated. I am always a person who looks for the best in a product review and never give less than 5 stars. The Everbuilt braided hose almost risked having our entire house being flooded and I am out an additional $200 because this so unnerved me I decided to have a professional plumber called in to make the attic hot water heater installation safe and reliable. In fairness, if an Everbuilt representative would like to get in touch with me, I would be glad to ask for remediation and compensation for the failed installation. Disclosure: I am a loyal Home Depot customer and this review does not diminish my appreciation of the talented Home Depot management and employees.

Guess I will go back to them.
