Q:I?m trying to refinish some old metal outdoor chairs. I repainted after sanding them a couple of years ago with your spray paint. They have some rust on them. The rust came back through in spots & a lot of the paint is chipping off. What should I try next

Then priming with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Rusty Metal Primer as it provides superior rust prevention and adhesion to rusty surfaces. You can then topcoat after 24 hours of applying the previous layer.

Q:I?m refinishing an antique bureau. I?ve stripped off the finish down to the bare wood. After applying the primer on the top surface of the bureau brush strokes are highly visible. Should I lightly sand before applying the top to remove the brush strokes?
