Then priming with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Rusty Metal Primer as it provides superior rust prevention and adhesion to rusty surfaces.           I noticed that the Minwax products are leaving the shelves of Home Depot and are being replaced with Varathane and more Rustoleum products. Rustoleum products have always been quality and I had used the spray paints in the past, so I did not hesitate to make the purchase several weeks ago. It is a product that I had no doubt I would be pleased with. I had four outdoor rocking chairs and a table to sand, prime and paint. The primer went on flawlessly. Even though it may not have been required, I put on a second coat. The end result was even coverage. The chairs looked so good I could have used them as is!
