Q:Do large loads (comforters or large loads of clothes) or dirtier items (pet hair or mud) get clean without an agitator? Do you have to do smaller loads? I have heard a lot of people say that the flat disc bottom washers hold a lot, but they don't always wash everything in it because there is no agitator to push the clothes down into the wash. I have heard even with the extra water setting they say it is still an issue. No point in getting a big washer if it will not wash what fits in it.

Q:Does this Samsung Washing Machine have "add a garment" capability? If yes, how can I add garment to washer after it has started? Thank you :)

Answer This Question
A: If you want to "add a garment" after you've started the wash then yes, just tap the "start/pause" button, it will stop washing and unlock the lid so you can add whatever. Then just push "start/pause" again and it will pick up where it left off.

A: Yes. To add or take out items, press Start/Pause (Hold to Start) to
pause the cycle, and then open the lid. To resume the cycle,
close the lid, and then press and hold Start/Pause. ^Lo

Q:The Delivery/Installation Team said that the drain hose that came with my Samsung (WA54R7600AC) was hardly long enough to drain and that I must keep this Samsung 5.4CuFt Washing Machine snug fitting next to dryer, so it will drain properly. Is there a longer hose that I can have installed, so in case my Samsung washing machine moves while vibrating and not pull drain hose out and cause flooding?

A: I've had my washer for over a year and it hasn't moved an inch since I installed it. Shouldn't be a problem but if you're really concerned perhaps a plumber would be able to resolve your issue by adapting the drain pipe (by moving it a bit with add on PVC) to relieve the tight fit.

Q:Can I use powder detergent with this machine?
by|Sep 6, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Hi Cathy.
Glad that you asked if you can use power detergent on your washer. Yes. Your washer is designed to use high-efficiency (HE) detergents. However, the type of detergent you use - general-purpose, specifically for woolens, etc. - depends on the type of fabric (cotton, synthetic, delicate items, wool), color, wash temperature, and degree of soiling. Regardless of the type of detergent you use, always use “low suds” HE laundry detergent designed for automatic washers.
For the best cleaning results, use a high-efficiency detergent such as Tide HE, Wisk HE, Cheer HE, or Gain HE*. High-efficiency detergents contain suds suppressors that reduce or eliminate suds. When fewer suds are produced, the load tumbles more efficiently and maximizes cleaning. (Brand names are trademarks of their respective manufacturers.)
Have a great day.

A: Yes, as well as liquid detergent and softener. I mainly use a cleaning ball along with a small amount of powder.
by|Sep 8, 2020
A: Regular powder detergent is not recommended. Use high energy (HE) detergents like Tide HE, Wisk HE, Cheer HE or Gain HE. These are designed to make the machine tumble more efficiently during the washing process.

A: The regular, full wash is about 56 minutes, the quickest wash around 35minutes.
So many options, it is heard to say a definitive time. Everything comes out clean and fresh.

Q:Is there a pedestal compatible with this unit and its accompanying dryer?
by|Aug 16, 2020

Answer This Question
A: I think that if you had this unit on a pedestal, it would make it very difficult to reach items at the very bottom of the tub. This machine has a large capacity which means the tub is very deep, you would likely need a step stool to access items at the bottom of the tub if the machine was on a pedestal.
by|Mar 16, 2021
A: No idea. I'd call Samsung direct for that one. 1-800'-726-7864.
by|Aug 18, 2020
A: Pedestals are used to raise your front load washer or dryer by more than a foot for a more convenient height. ^Lena
by|Sep 11, 2020
A: Pedestals are not made for top load washers, only front load. With the way they're designed, adding a pedestal to the washer would make it very difficult to reach the bottom of the tub.
