A: For best results of the weed control element in the product, since it needs as much foliage as possible to stick to, we recommend not mowing for two days prior to the application. For best results also wait two days after applying to mow.

Q:I want to apply this weed&feed to control clover prior to overseeding my lawn in 4-5 weeks, but it's still about 50-55 degrees in my area. If I apply this product before the temps regularly reach 60 degrees - will it burn my lawn or just be less potent?

A: If it is applied according to label directions, it will not burn. However, with the lower temperatures you mentioned you will not be optimum weed control.

A: When seeding, sodding, or sprigging before an application of Turf Builder Weed & Feed5 delay application until after the 4th cutting of the new grass. Grass is considered established when it has grown enough to be mowed (1/3 of the grass blade cut) 4 times. If seeding, sodding, or sprigging after an application of Turf Builder Weed & Feed5 wait at least 4 weeks (one month) after application to seed. Remember that if a fertilizer was applied at the time of seeding, you may need to wait longer depending on the residual of that fertilizer.

Activity on the lawn within 24 hours may brush off the weed control before it can be absorbed. After the 24 hours it is recommended to water the product into the lawn and allow it to dry before reentry.
