      Answer This Question

A:  It should die off in the late fall. It's a tough grass and it is rough on the feet as well. It's good for hilly area's because it has deep roots and can take any weather . If you want to get ride of it ,cut it as low as you can without scalping it or bottoming out the blades.

      by|May 2, 2023

A:  The roots on Poa annua are very shallow. When hot, dry weather arrives, Poa annua will turn pale green and die. It is a little too hot now, but you may want to look into Ortho Nutsedge killer is lawns is registered for controlling Poa. For severe infestation you may even want to apply a pre-emergent like Halts crabgrass preventer in late summer, to prevent the new seeds from germinating in the fall.

          Answer This Question

A:  Apply it when the grass is wet and the forcast is going to be dry for 2 days. It stick's to the grass and that is what kill's the weed's. Do not apply it if there is heavy rain coming in within 3 days as it will wash it away. You can wet it before you apply it yourself instead of waiting on the rain .Don't water it to much . The best time to use it is before it gets above 80 degree's .There is a fall mix by Scott's you can use as well.

          by|May 2, 2023

A:  This may be used on elgible lawn types whenever broadleaf weeds are present. In the NJ area this will typically be around May. Be sure to wait at least 6 weeks from any other lawn fertilizer applications. It should be applied to a wet lawn, when rain is not expected for at least 24 hours.

              Answer This Question

A:  Use pelletized lime about 2 weeks before and it promotes a good green grass and chokes out alot of the weeds . Don't water it to much . When you apply Scott's ,make sure the lawn is wet from evening dew or a light rain ,or just hose it down . It needs to stick to the lawn and weeds for a couple of day's to work effectivly.Too much water will wash it away.If you have a nieghbor ,like me , that doesn't take good care of his lawn and has weed's ,when he mow's it weed seed's just float right over to my lawn ,and I have to apply it 4 x's a yr . thanks to him !

A:  I am sorry that the Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control did not control the weeds as expected. We do have a satisfaction guarantee for this product, so if you are not satisfied by the performance or otherwise please contact us to see what can be done. We can be reached at 1-877-465-5160. To get the best results from any weed control, be sure to apply the product when your daytime high temperatures are consistently between 65 to 85 degrees. Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control should be applied to a wet lawn and allowed to stay on the foliage undisturbed for at least 24 hours without rain or water. Since this product is initially absorbed through the weed's foliage, we recommend that the weeds not be mowed for two days both before and after the product application. This product will only kill weeds that are actively growing at the time of application, and cannot prevent new weeds from germinating. There are a few particularly troublesome weeds that Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control does not control. If you have any questions as to what the weed is that you are battling in your yard, we recommend that you contact a local reputable nursery to see if they can help you identify the weed before you attempt retreating it with any other product. Once you have had it identified, please let us know what it is and we can help you find the right product to control it.
