A: They are solid. At least they were when I bought them and should still be solid. Very good quality, no splits, checks or warp page. Took a stain well. Would definitely buy again.

A: Hi Displayname, thanks for the question. These balusters are made from one solid piece of red oak, not multiple plies glued together. If you have additional questions, we'll reply as quickly as we can. Thank you!

Q:If you are planning on using this product without the pin, be aware the stuff being stocked in-store now has a pin. The total length is still 41 inches but the pin is now taking approximately 1/2 inch of that length. The barcode on the item didn't change. The stores may a mixture of with and without pins.

A: Hi Murphy, it looks like that this 36 in. x 1-1/4 in. Unfinished Oak Square Baluster is a store exclusive item and only able to be bought in a Home Depot store. Unfortunately we do not sell it with online stock for purchase. If you are unable to see the store inventory or price it is most likely either not a stocked item in your area or no longer available for purchase from Homedepot.com. I would advise you visit or contact your local Home Depot store for pricing and availability. Please follow the steps below to localize your Homedepot.com:
1. Localize Homedepot.com using your zip code (My Store Location: Change)
2. Choose the store where you want to pick up the item (Make this my Store)
We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot!
