A:  Hello Jeff, unfortunately lids cannot be purchased separately. Sterilite does not manufacture extra lids or component parts for our products. Our products are manufactured and sold as a unit to retailers. Please contact the retailer you purchased it from and request a refund or exchange.

A:  No, they are not rated for use in freezers and will split from the cold temperatures. Mike

A:  I am on this site because I plan on purchasing containers for my freezer. I have 2 of these containers which I have used for freezing bananas over the years and both are in good shape; they are not warped or cracked. Albeit, they are NOT air tight either.

A:  Hello John, Sterilite only uses high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items.

A:  I didn't see that in any describtion. I do use mine to store vacuum sealed food. I wouldn't put loose food in it.

A:  I’m thinking it is not food grade

A:  No, It's not for food. it is for clothes or others.

A:  The container is clear and the lid is a light color so it should be food grade. The lid does fit very tight but I'm not sure if it is air tight

A:  Borrow a tape measure at the store, because you cannot always trust the printed measurements. If the sides slant inward, that may defeat you need.
