A:  You will need to lightly sand the door with the current stain, before another can be applied.

    A:  A premium paint with primer will work. Please check in with your Home Depot paint specialist and they can help you. If your local Home Depot sells our door in store, they can order door with an unfinished frame.

      Q:Can I get a sample of the three stain colors? Online it says they are equivalent to SW3220 Mission Oak (Hickory), SW3227 Sedona (Chestnut), and SW3209 Scandia Teak (Autumn Wheat), but those colors do not exist in Sherwin Williams stains.

      A:  I've contacted Steve & Son's twice now order to get advice on how to refinish my Craftsman Savannah Lite solid wood door (Chestnut). No one has returned my call or email. I purchased our door in 2017 as it is time to touch it up. SW3227 doesn't exist

                A:  Actual measurement of slab is 35.5 x79. You can cut 1/4 each from each side without voiding warranty. You will need to visit Home Depot and have them find a vendor who can cut to the size you need.
