A:  You want to use the Woodtite 2” fasteners that are suggested. You use a driver with a socket head , can’t remember the size.. I think they suggest pre drilling but it’s not necessary really.

      by|Jun 14, 2023

A:  No. You use screws with attached rubber washers like Palram woodtite. Please see videos on how to attach DIY corrugated panels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I55YdKp0Dps

A:  I used the 2 1/2" roofing screws with the rubber washers. They work great and seal around the hole. They are also self tapping. The sale these right by the roofing panels.

A:  Not nails - screws with a rubber washer. I suggest pre-drilling the material to avoid cracks.

A:  I guess you could paint it - maybe spray. Good color already - should accent any other colors...

A:  With proper prep and paint.

A:  Yes, you overlap them. It was really very easy to do it.

                    by|Jun 2, 2021

A:  Correct. The ridge caps should be overlapped to achieve the length needed.

Q:How far down from the top/peak of the ridge should the purlin be? What is the recommended distance center to center from the peak to the highest purlin?

                            Answer This Question

A:  At suntuf webpage there is an installation manual. I looked up your question. Cross supports (purlins) must be no more than 36" apart for Suntuf. This is the maximum recommended spacing. For most typical installations however 24” is recommended to give the best balance of economy, light transmission and structural support. The drawing in the manual shows the first purlin at the end of the panel nearest the peak. I used 24" purlin spacing for my roof panels, and I put a purlin at the end of the panel at the peak of the roof. We get a lot of snow and moderate wind, and I want the roof panels to be fairly rigid while maintaining maximum light transmission through the panels to the greenhouse. Snow drift from the roof to the ground can be 30" deep in a normal winter. That's why I put in a 30" above grade cinder block stem wall around the greenhouse. I don't think these panels are strong enough to be stressed by drift from ice and snow at the base of the greenhouse walls. Besides, I like the look of a stemwall covered by quarter sawn D-logs. That makes the greenhouse match the siding on the other structures in our compound at the top of the mountain.

A:  I never received my product. I ordered online to be picked up at the store and when I got to the store, my products were not ready and they didn’t have the color as advertised on Home Depot App.
