A:  Hi jmp3547. This sounds a little unusual, normally Infrared LEDs will come on after dark and help to generate a black and white image. Do you see these Infrared LEDs coming on at night? They will look red to the human eye and there will usually be about 10-12 of them behind the black face of each camera. Alternatively, if you go through the DVR menu you can enable the white spotlight to turn on with motion (go to the Alarm > Deterrent menu). This is based on the hard drive storage specifications, as this is the most heat-sensitive component.
