Q:I have a wood gate that is about 100lbs. It is supported by 3 hinges already but I just want to add self closing hinges. The gate opens and closes with ease. Will these close my gate even though it?s over 66lbs since it already has hinges?

A:  The inner holes closer to the middle or pin are 1.6 inches apart center to center. The outer holes are 4.15 inches apart center to center.

      A:  I used mine on an Aluminum gate and post so I don’t see an issue with PVC.  I would be mindful of your fastener choice.   I used through bolts with acorn nuts.
