    A:  If you have a standing seam metal roof, the flashing kit needed is called: EDM C08 0000 and will give you great protection on this installation. For your Sun Tunnel Skylights, be sure to choose either the TMF 014 (flexible tubing) or the TMR 014 (rigid tubing) as these will have a "pitched aluminum" flashing base.           A:  Hello Teddy, VELUX solar powered skylights have a battery housed at the bottom interior of the skylight. The battery is connected to a solar panel located on the exterior of the skylight. The solar panel charges the battery. The skylight will come with a remote to operate.

                A:  We would not recommend any water repellant on the exterior pane of the glass. On the exterior pane we recommend soap/water, alcohol and ammonia-free cleaners. Our laminated glass has silicon dioxide on the exterior pane, which makes it exceptionally smooth. This allows the water to evenly disperse and evaporate quickly. This greatly reduces water spotting on the glass.
