Q:I would like to use it on the Saman unfinished desktop. I usually use Watco Danish Oil to color and seal the wood. Question, will this product penetrate the wood and darken it or will it just add a slight coloring as a "shell"?

Answer This Question
A: We're happy to help. Our Rust-Oleum Varathane Super Glaze Epoxy is a film forming finish that sits on the surface rather than penetrating into the wood.

Q:Can I put this over regular varathane after I have used sander to "rough" up the surface, on indoor stairs?

Answer This Question
A: Happy to clear things up, Mikki! While Rust-Oleum Varathane Super Glaze Finish and Preservative can be used over our polyurethanes, this product is not suitable for use on stairs or on other surfaces that will receive foot traffic. This type of use would cause this product to crack and peel.

Q:Can i use this item for my ceramic tile wall and floor to resist water leaking
by|Mar 27, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: We're happy to clear things up, Angela. While Rust-Oleum Varathane Super Glaze can be applied to ceramic surfaces it will not seal surfaces to prevent leaking. The leaking water may cause the finish to blister and peel. We also do not recommend applying to vertical surfaces because the finish will drip and sag before it is able to fully cure.
