A: Yes it will work on an outswing door. We have it on an outswing.

A: I'm not sure. I think you'd have to mount it on the inside instead of the outside and without seeing your door frame, I don't know if that would be possible. We had a handyman install our doors, so I'm not as familiar with the intricacies of installation.

Q:I'm very handy and feel comfortable modifying the trim, and bumping out the frame and threshold around my new sliding patio doors to accommodate this Retractable Screen Door. Are there any other SPECIFIC REASONS that I'm not seeing that make this a "NO"?

A: My answer are no and yes. No because this is for surface installation and if you read the description you also agree.I said ' Yes' because iam a handy man myself and you know how handy man do things, if it work out fine, we will be satisfied and feel that we are right even though others will say you can't. A: This specific unit is intended for in-swing and out-swing units only. If you are wanting to install a similar screen over a sliding patio door, I recommend our Brisa screen that is intended for sliding patio doors. You can search on Home Depot's website, 77030351. It will accommodate standard 80" openings.
