Q:Can I use this to cover Elmer's glue used as water in an artificial pond? I want something rainproof so want to coat the small pond we made with Elmer's glue with a clear substance that resists rain.

        Answer This Question

A:  Although it is good for exterior use on products that may get wet (as in the rain). The bottle that I have specifically mentions that it is not to be used for/in containers that hold water. I suspect that the artificial pond you mention is or can be classified as a container that holds water. So my guess is that it is not a suitable product for your purpose.

A:  I have used to adhere different materials to painted wood - like clayboard, canvases, and glass. (I'm an artist.) Superior bonding, little smell, dries clear. I feel like I've found the adhesive I need for my work. Hope that helps!

A:  I use it for glass and ceramic tile on painted wood. It holds well and withstands the wet grout. I would use it with cork on painted wood, yes.

Q:Is this glue waterproof. I want to use it to adhere a very thin (2mm) abalone mosiac tile, very light weight, in a 3'x 3 1/2" area in a shower. It would not get a direct spray of water, just some overspray.
