          A:  The product is made of brass. I have not had the product long enought to determine the durability of the finish.

          A:  The actual "basket" is ZINC, not brass. The strainer body is brass, basket is not. Kitchen accessories in almost any finish other than chrome will not do well do to the various chemicals/oils/cleaners used in a kitchen. We can only give a one year warranty on the finish, and I do not have confidence that what you are asking will last over a year.

            A:  You can use any 1-1/2" FLANGED Tailpiece. Can be brass or plastic, length you will have to determine.
