A: This is our go-to brush for applying polyurethane. It does a great job and it's cheap enough that we can throw it away after using it on a project.

A: Polyurethane can be very difficult to apply without getting bubbles in your finish. We suggest looking at your coating to see if there are any recommendations for application and best suited applicator for your specific coating. Many like to use a bristle brush while applying polyurethane. You might be interested in the Wooster Pro White China Bristle (see product # 203247578). We always welcome calls to Wooster Customer at 800-392-7246. We would be happy to help you find the perfect applicator for your project.

A: You wouldn't typically use this for a stain unless you were using something like a tinted polyurethane (stain and finish combination.) You're better off with a staining pad or just a lint free wiping rag since it will apply the stain more evenly and you can throw it away when you're done rather than struggle with cleaning.

A: xio,
That would depend on what stain you are using. Synthetics are typically relegated to water-based uses and and oil based stain should always be applied using a natural bristle brush like a china bristle.
