Please ensure that the range hood is installed 30-36 inches above your cooking surface to ensure maximum performance. Depending on your ceiling height, the compatible 9-10ft extension model number is 1PCEXT-KB/KL2/KL3. The 10-12ft extension model number is, 2PCEXT-KB/KL2/KL5. Model KBCRN-48: 48" W x 19.7" D x 10.5" H and model KL3CRN-48: 48" W x 19.1" D x 12" H. (both are brushed 430 stainless steel). All ZLINE stainless steel range hoods come equipped with everything needed to easily install and use, including two 16-inch telescoping chimney pieces, allowing a fit for most ceilings between 8 and 9 feet. Short kits and extension kits are available depending on ceiling height (sold separately). Charcoal Filters (not included) are available for ductless/recirculating options for both of these models as well. For our Designer Series hoods, we provide a one-piece chimney that can be cut to size. To make this range hood ductless, all that is required to purchase in addition to this unit is the Carbon Filters (CF1). You will need to install a soffit and once this soffit is installed, the range hood and the crown molding can be installed with no modifications needed!
