A: I believe that this is a possibility but we have never had any decaying mice in our house after using baits.
A: Hi asv! d-CON Disposable Mouse Bait Stations are pre-filled and ready to use. Mice will eat through the wrapper and you'll be able to see the bait through the station to gauge if mice are eating it or not. Because mice take the bait and then leave to die, all you have to do is set the bait and let d-CON do the rest. If you need additional assistance, please call 1-800-235-6052 between 9:00-5:00 EST (Monday - Friday) or send us an email via the Contact Us page on our website including the following reference number, RB0000183538, and we would be more than happy to help. Sincerely, Your d-CON Team!
A: Disposable means one time use. Do not open it.
A: You don't take the pellet out of plastic. Take the plastic out of the paper cover and set out trap. No need to touch the poison.
A: You do NOT open or take any plastic off! Put them down as they are. There is a small opening for a mouse to get inside. They will eat the poison and die.
A: You do not open the bait stations. That is the beauty of this product. It is ready. No mess or fuss, just take the bait stations out of package and set them where ever you need them. The mice will go in and eat the poison bait. When the pellets are gone, throw away the bait station. There are 3 stations to a package. This is my favorite rodent poison.
A: Wear gloves and tear at the seam...
A: Yes.. They look for water and die
A: I don't think it help to get rid of mace.
A: eventual death
A: d-Con Baits are anticoagulants so they prevent clotting of blood. It takes 4-10 days on average for death to occur. Normally they will try to return to their nesting spot to die which is usually outdoors.
A: Gone overnight, Thank you De con
A: Put the units against the baseboards, If no attraction, move the units until You see usage. Also, Follow the trail of "droppings" and place them there.
A: I purchase this along with the glue traps, the glue trap is what caught the mouse unsure if he even went inside one of the other traps first or not.
A: Take plastic off bait put back in trap and walk away
A: Take off the plastic wrap and put back on bait box Wash hands for 20 seconds and walk away
A: Just set it out
A: That's all you're suppose to have to do. Just make sure that the little door opening isn't blocked. I placed mine against something solid so that they wouldn't slide around if a mouse tried to enter. They do seem to sit for awhile but if there's a mouse or two they'll eventually get to it. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer if you have any more questions, information can be found on the packaging.
A: It’s not you. These are not user friendly.
A: Nope, that's all we're supposed to do, although they do say if the mice don't touch the bait after a few days, to move the station (be sure to wear gloves when you handle it, they say). Don't feel bad. I have 6 as well, and after 6 weeks, none of them have been touched, even though I've moved them 3 times, as per instructions. I just think it's a bad product, imho.
A: Have they eaten any of the bait? I use these in combination with snap traps baited with peanut butter. They’ll either get caught in the trap or lick the peanut butter without triggering the trap. Either way you get some indication of activity,.
A: My experience was very quick and easy. I put 2 where I had seen activity and within 3 days I took the d-cons away. Success!
A: This is supposed to be for indoors use only, I believe.
A: No thanks for asking
A: yes, and it only takes a few minutes. I see nibbling on the bait so I am pleased the mice are attracted to it. We have small chipmunks and these bait stations are small enough to keep them safe.
A: No thank you for asking
A: Yes, you can put this product outside your house.
A: No, they say not to. I asked Dcon that specifically and was told "No."
A: No, there are no instructions on how to remove the plastic. Directions say to remove station from the carton and place along wall, corner, etc. There is nothing about removing the plastic.
A: No I just puncture the hole in it & done
A: Nope! No need to remove the plastic covering of the bait. The mice can smell the bait through it and will eat right through it, much like they would any plastic bag in your pantry!
A: You don't have to the rodents eat right through it. Thanks for asking
A: No need to remove the plastic covering the bait. The mice should eat right through it!
A: According to the instructions there is no need to remove the wrapper and there is no way to remove the wrapper in the non-refillable ones. It makes sense because mice can rip it apart as they would with other food.
A: Yes, wear gloves
A: The bait remains in the plastic. Mice get into plastic.
A: no mice have eaten any of this..i am opening the plastic with a paper clip bent --one of them see if it works
A: Good question. That was my concern too? Instructions were very unclear
A: No, they will chew through it and leave the plastic behind.
A: Yes it is, and there is no odor.
A: I have had the white case, plastic wrapped bate, mouse traps out for over a year not one nibble. the refillable black case traps worked. I don't remember if black traps were D con or the other brand.
How can we help?
