Q:Since most hose bibs and many nozzles are still made of brass (all of mine are), don't we have to be concerned with galvanic corrosion between brass and fitt's aluminum fittings? I had to cut the ends off of a couple of hoses to remove them.

Answer This Question
A: Oh those ends will corrode alright. I went to unscrew mine, it's a couple of years old, and been attached for almost the whole time. I have put the hose in a vice, used penetrating oil, air hammer, and it won't budge.

Answer This Question
A: I do not know if it's food grade, however I would not recommend it. Careful use and it sprung a leak within the first month of owning it. I thought I'd researched a quality hose, but it didn't perform for us.

A: The answer is NO! Can only be used for outdoor watering use.

Q:My hose is kinking. I think I made the mistake of stretching it out, but then I untwisted it before pressurizing it.
I tried to re-twist it, but it still kinks. Any secrets on how to get it back to its original form so it will store easily.

Answer This Question
A: You did the right thing to stretch it out full length and then pressurize it. Since it is a flat hose it will fold when it is not pressurized but kinks should disappear after it is pressurized and while in use.

Q:Why is the hose leaking from the male end when I attach a Menlor 8-pattern nozzle? (I screw it on as tight as possible) Do I need extra adapter, or hose/nozzle should be returned?

Answer This Question
A: Please check to see if there is a hose washer inside the female end of the Melnor nozzle and that the washer is not damaged. If this does not eliminate the problem, then the threads on either the nozzle or hose male end may be damaged. In this case return the hose and nozzle to the store for a warranty replacement.

A: Without looking at the hookup, it could be just the washer (between the male and female fitting) is worn. Since it has been cinched down, the washer could have been damaged. If it is leaking from the rear of the male fitting connector, then the hose connection has come loose. Then hose unit should be returned if under warranty.

Q:Will this burst of the water is left on for an extended amount of time? I know the fabric ones will.

Answer This Question
A: The FITT FORCE Pro is rated at 450 PSI burst strength and can withstand constant pressure in extremely hot tempratures without leaks

A: Any hose can burst. The 'fabric' hoses have an inner layer that carries the water so it is not the fabric that bursts. A hose that has been damaged, used with water at a temperature over its rating, or used with water pressure above its designed parameter can burst.
by|Jul 6, 2021
A: The hose if being used is not going to burst. Depending on the temperature outside (extremely hot) and the length of time using it the hose may get condensation but it’s not leaking.

Q:can this be used with a pressure washer or does the fact that the pressure washer sucks so much water thru the hose will it collapse?
by|Jul 1, 2021

Answer This Question
A: If the water source flows more water through the hose than the pressure washer demands it will be fine. Most "consumer level" pressure washers likely do not demand more than about 2GPM (my Dewalt flows around 1.1GPM iirc). Check the rated max flow of your pressure washer then check the flow rate from your spigot. It would be the same whether the water flows from a pump or from gravity. You just need to flow a bit more water from the hose than the pressure washer puts out.

A: The hose does not collapse if you have a decent pressure washer, I use this hose with my power washer all the time without issue.
