I returned what I could after spreading a few bags. I found it full of glass, plastic bits and rocks. Very disappointing and a waste of money. Who wants to grow organic food in that?

The last order has some mildew inside.

Did not produce results as well as Evergreen Compost & Humus

Excellent quality product. I wish there was a higher quantity inventory, as I bought all I could get. Improves soil condition and microbial activity.

It stunk so bad it was weeks before the smell went away it has big chunks in it that were very hard to break down to use to level my lawm would not buy a again

Arrived fast. Good results from the plant after applying this.

When I opened the bag, I found pieces of plastic in the mix. I returned it.

This Cedar Grove "organic" compost stinks worse than any live or broken down manure but ?fresh bark. It's full of hard clumps you have to break up - it does not "spread" - I put down 5 bags on a client's garden bed near the house. The next day she said her basement stunk really bad. My clothes stunk so badly I had to throw them outside until I could shower and take them OUT to be laundered. Totally unacceptable.

This is not as much compost as its bagged poop and stuff

I’ve been using this compost for some time and all I can say is my garden is worth bragging about. I love this compost and it being local and organic making it a real winner.

The ingredient lists food waste, however, the overwhelming smell of poop belies this. On a positive note, it has worked incredibly well in helping dry spots in our grass to recover. Nothing else has ever worked as well.

Product not fully decomposed, Terrible smell. Either still wet or hard chunks. Difficult to use. The plants I put it on died. I bought it because I support the concept of keeping organic matter out of landfills, but this product needs big improvement before I will buy it again.

Would have given 5 stars but there is a lot of bits and pieces of plastic in the compost. Takes me a lot of time to pick it out while spreading.

It has odd color and smell, not like compost. The pepper I planted in it died. Will not buy again.

I was really pleased with how well my roses and lilacs responded to this compost! They took to it right away!

Not fully composted, smells like pure chewing tobacco. They didn't sift the rocks and sticks out, and I've found so many pieces of broken glass in the bags I bought. The big box companies don't care about your garden or the safety of their customers. Luckily I handled the compost before I let my children help me build the soil in our garden. Hopefully this barely broken down mix doesn't burn all the plants that are going into these beds... Good luck, I recommend making your own or finding a reputable source that cares for the gardeners.

It was good, not great, but for the price it served its purpose and I would buy it again.

Not only does this stuff smell awful, I’ve been picking bits of plastic shopping bags, fruit stickers, glass, rubber gloves, and all kinds of other non-compostable garbage out of my yard for days (obviuosly was not there before). Also, the smell is so so bad, and my dog won’t stop trying to eat it. What a nightmare product!
