I use worm castings on all my vegetables, including Tomatoes & Peppers, which are Nightshade Crops along with Potatoes. I don't see any reason why Worm Casting won't nourish any plant. Regardless of if it's planted in the ground, a container or a Bag!
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, Our 12Lb bag of earthworm castings is approximately .3 cubic feet
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, Hi! Yes, you can mix the worm castings in with grass seed and scatter across the lawn to grow grass. If you can till the worm castings into the soil at 1 part worm castings to 3 part soil, with the grass seed mixed in, then water plenty — that should do well. Think of using 1/4" worm castings per area, mixed with grass seed that you want to regrow. Water plenty!
That is probably Mycorrhizal fungi which is great for your soil.
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, Really depends on your growing goals and plants needs'. Earthworm castings serve as an excellent starting amendment filled with beneficial microorganisms and fair amounts of micronutrients.
