I used this floor on top of a concrete slab that’s not waterproofed on an addition to the first level of my home. The install video made it super easy to know how to install and I think it will serve its purpose of making floor area slightly warmer, protecting my new LVP floor, and allowing concrete to breath. Only thing I didn’t like was that half way through my project it seemed like the wood changed as you can see in the pictures.

Easy install
The 24 inch format makes these tiles easy for one person to transport, carry and install. I am a woman in my 60s and I was able to complete the job myself easily with great results. Be careful when handling to ensure no damage occurs to the tongues.

Quality decline from earlier versions
I am extremely disappointed with my Dricore purchase. I installed a Dricore subfloor about 15 years ago. Recently I discovered mold in the basement and had to rip up 1/2 the subfloor. I purchased new panels only to discover they are inferior to my old panels. The are noticeably thinner and when installed, there is about 1/8" difference in height. Either I will have to remove the rest of the old panels or use some sort of filler to slope the height difference. It's very easy to feel and see the difference in quality between the old and new panels. The old panels had a protective coating on the wood. This is missing from the new panels.

New tiles are garbage - avoid
Like others have mentioned - DO NOT Buy this product anymore, they are charging the same price, for a far inferior product. The pictures shown feature a dark smooth OSB layer, the new stuff is a low grade light color that is rough textured. The locking joints are way thinner now can't even support being tapped without flaking. Stop supporting these companies that switch to an inferior product to charge the consumer the same (or more money).

      Poor quality product
Drycore used to be 3/4 inch thick with a good premium grade oriented strand pressed board. It's only 1/2 inch thick and a very uneven surface which will not work well with any vinyl flooring as the roughness will show through. To bad Drycore thought cost saving by making the product cheaper with inferior grade board and a thinner profile was a smart move. Explain to me when any flooring less than 3/4 inch is the standard used in building. Work great for walls but flooring it is not adequate.

Mean as a sub-floor not flooring
When I saw this, I bought some thinking "hey this would be great for my shed floor" not realizing it was not meant to be used as flooring resulting in a disaster.

          Simple subfloor
Very easy to install. Very easy to cut with a jig saw. A table saw or cicular saw can be used as well, but my preference was the jig saw, especially when i needed to go around a door.

Disappointed In The Quality Of My Most Recent Purchase
I am disappointed with the quality of the panels. I have been buying them in small quantities for several years now, usually 12 at a time, as I gradually cover my basement floor. The quality of the panels has significantly deteriorated. One batch had been allowed to get wet and the surface was wrinkled and at least 4 panels were moldy, To Home Depot's credit, they replaced them. The panels in my most recent purchase had a much rougher top surface than my earlier purchases and the tongues and grooves don't fit together as well. I realize that they are supposed to be an underlayment so perhaps it doesn't matter to contractors, but the earlier ones had a much better, more finished surface. Anyone covering the panels with laminate will now have to sand the margins where the panels meet to get a smooth surface. The manufacturer seems to have skipped the final steps of sanding and spraying on a coating. On the plus side, the plastic bottoms seem to be the same good quality. But the top surfaces are clearly of much lower quality than they used to be.

I hate it when this happens
I initially purchased this product in 2016 and it was awesome. Since installing the product, it has been durable and proved to be a great solution to finishing my basement floor. This year, because of my previous experience, I went to use the product again to finish the remainder of my basement floor. What I found left quite frustrated with both Home Depot and the product. On the Home Depot there is a materials calculator to determine how many panels you would need; it’s wrong. The product is advertised online and in store as being 4 square feet, but it’s actually 3.75 square feet. As you can imagine, this threw off my caluations and budget for my home project. When I discovered this discrepancy, I went to Home Depot to request a partial refund on what I purchased because of the false advertising— I was dismissed and management acted like there was nothing that could be done. The product left me disappointed pointed because they decrease the thickness by nearly an 8th of an inch, but continue to advertise it as 3/4 of an inch. Because of the difference, the old and new panels don’t match up correctly and the new seem flimsy and lower quality in comparison. Some of the panels I purchase didn’t seem to line up properly as if they were cut in the factory crooked. In addition to the above surprises, they also changed the thickness of the leveling kit product. They kept both the panels and leveling kit at the same price despite the removal of quality and materials. And for this project, on my between my first and second trip the raised the price by ~33%. I went ahead and used the product to complete my project, but only because there isn’t an easy alternative. If you can find something else, I’d recommend going that route. I don’t like to feel slighted, but both this product and Home Depot made me feel such.

This worked as advertised. A perfect underlayment for my basement project. Make sure to get the shims, you will likely need them. Use some care in "tapping" the planks together. Don't bang them in too hard or your just gonna do more sanding to level the resulting ridges. Floating plank floor went it beautifully.

Lots of cutting, but worth figuring out
For a non-humid basement this product is overall awesome as a subfloor considering alternatives. It does take a lot of cutting, especailly if the basement is not a perfect square like mine. Be very aware of the side you are using and cutting as it is easy to make a mistake thinking that this is simply a square. The tongue has two side and the groove has two side, it is easy to cut the wrong way leaving the cut piece unusable. I found the demonstration videos do not give a good sense of just how much cutting is involved and how important it is to cut the right way. My basement is 660 sq ft. I purchased 180 pieces. I had nearly 20 left over, mostly because I figured out quickly how to align the piecs for the fewest cuts. Be sure to really think about what side you are cutting and what pieces will be left over. If done properly we could make one cut and use two pieces along a wall because the cut piece was perfect for the stagger of the next section. That took starting, stopping, and starting over to realize. Don't be afraid to stop reassess and start over if you realize you made a mistake. Also use the shims as much as possible, we didn't put enough in one section and there is a distinctive creaking in that spot.

              Dricore Subfloor Panels
We installed this product throughout the space in the basement we are finishing. It was easy to install however I found it difficult to level. Our home is brand new and the floor is in great shape but the shims didn’t seem to get rid of all of the “clicking” that can be heard when you walk across the floor. I may use some Tapcon screws to secure the floor however that defeats the purpose of the floating installation.

              Dricore Subfloor
I finished our basement with a mix of planked vinyl and carpet. My decision to add the Dricore subfloor made the entire project better. Everyone comments on how much warmer and more comfortable our basement is compared to their finished basements. Very easy to install and worth every penny I paid for it. If I ever finish another basement, I'll definitely use Dricore, again, and I would recommend this product to anyone. Dricore added an element to our basement that made finishing it more like adding a 3rd floor to our house. In addition to a very high quality product, their customer service is also very good. I had a couple of questions during the project that I asked via their web site. Answers were very prompt and informative.

Problem: I wanted to put a vinyl plank floor down in my basement and I didn't want it to be cold. I had initially planned on adding radiant heat, but the basement was plenty warm without additional heat (except for the floor). I was beginning to think I would need foamboard insulation covered with a subfloor, which was going to add a lot of height to the floor and cost to the project. Soltion: Dricore panels! These are super quick and easy to install, can go right on top of the concrete, and offer an air buffer between the concrete and finished floor. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to finish their basement.

                Super simple to install
These panels are super simple to install. Took about an afternoon to finish 800 square feet with 2 guys. Make sure you plan out the squares and keep everything straight and everything flies... really tell the difference in the winter time when the floor is comfortable since it keeps it off the cold slab. Also saved thousands when my water softener discharge pipe froze during the winter and backed up.... just used a fan and everything dried up.

This is the second time I've used this as a subfloor option of concrete. It provides a great option over concrete that occasionally has some moisture. I purchased about 800 sqft for my new home, it installs quickly and easily, and making cuts around corners is simple. The only issue I had was that I received a full pallet which was shipped by DHL, after getting the boards moved into the house, several spiders started crawling out from between the boards as I was installing it.

This is so much easier than the alternative (laying down underlayment(s) and then screwing OSB to the floor. I haven't finished my entire project yet, but the flooring is almost complete and lookin' good. Recommend, especially at the lower price they have at Home Depot. One thing I didn't see on the packaging, is that if you're planning to build walls on top of this, don't use 1/4" spacers, use 1-1/2" spacers (shown in my pictures... 2x4's work well for this).

Two Batches - Different Heights and Colour
Purchased 200 panels from HD for my basement. Delivered as one factory wrapped skid with another skid on top with the balance of the 200 panels neatly stacked. What I discovered midway through the job was that the tiles were a different colour (which I wasn't concerned about as I'm laying luxury vinyl plank over the subfloor) but worse, they had different finished heights. I didn't really want to disassemble all my work, so now I stuck trying to sand out the height difference where the mismatched panels join. Before I started the project I started the project, I contacted the manufacturer on another matter and they were fabulous to deal with. I like the company, but it would be difficult to recommend the product given my experience. MAKE SURE YOU GET PANELS FROM SAME BATCH!!

                      Buyer beware.
About one month ago the company decided to make all their panels at least 3/16th inch thinner. I recently had situation where do to a flood I had to replace about 10 panels in the low spot of my basement sub floor. Although the new panels do interlock with the old ones, they end up floating about 1/8th inch off the floor and the tops are 1/8 th inch less than adjoining panels. And I noticed all Home Depots (I checked 3) pulled their old stock of dricore So due to the combined efforts of dricore and Home Depot I now have a not stable and not level subfloor in my basement.
