Classy, elegant look to these wall plates.......good variations within the overall range helped me to have this style of wall plate on all switch and outlet locations throughout the entire house.
Well constructed with a metal strengthening back plate.
A little on the expensive side but worth it for the overall look that is achieved.

Wood plates with metal backing. Remain straight during tightening. If your wall is uneven at switch/receptacle, gaping at wall will occur as these plates do no bend as plastic plates will do. Forcing them will crack them. They are a great upgrade compared to plastic plates.
