I was't able to use it because it was too big. It would have been easy to install and it was well made with a hard plastic. I have used these in the past and was well pleased.

Excellent product

It’s a basic hard plastic door. The size was perfect for my project and installation was simple. It’s not really designed well. There are 3 slots where you have to use a flat object to pop the door out; two would make much more sense. If you are covering an area that you need to access frequently, I don’t think this would be your best option. I haven’t painted it yet so I don’t know yet how it takes to paint. In hindsight, I probably should have spent a little more to get a better product, but I just wanted to cover a hole in my wall so I guess this is good enough.

This panel was purchased to cover an already existing access hole on the ceiling. The hole provides access to my clothes dryer duct for cleaning it periodically. Since the hole already existed, I had no way to avoid placing the hinge at an aluminum rafter - two of them crossed the opening. Therefore, I had to cut a small piece out of the swinging door to accommodate it's travel. I would have preferred that the entire door would come off to provide access. However, this panel worked, and it looks 200 percent better than the old plywood cover that used to be there. I am a satisfied customer.

Well made. The depth of the collar is slightly less than 3/4" which is good when dealing with 3/4" drywall. I thought I saw .84 inch in the description of either/or this one or the 14 inch. The 22 inches is the actual outside of the collar size, not the overall size. Add 1 5/8" on each edge for a total of 3 1/4" to get the outer measurement total. So it measures 25 1/4" across. They instruct you to cut the hole 1/4" wider than the inside collar of 22". That gives you a little bit of wiggle room. So the relief is actually 1/8" on all sides. Recommendation: If you are installing new drywall, not only do you want to plot out the location of where you will be installing it with offsets like how far away from the adjoining walls/structures, you also want to take a digital photograph of the opening area so when you are cutting through you know right where everything is like water pipes, electrical etc. I found it easier to cut out sections and feel my way around. Unfortunately we are cutting through areas that will have studs and nailers so knowing where they are is a good thing. Seeing the distance by cutting a large circle, or opening is beneficial. This creates a challenge because if you don't have a photograph to go by, you may be cutting through an area that has something in it that would be a drag to cut through. Anyhow, sorry for the long review. Just trying to be helpful. These come super wrapped and protected. Probably one of the best wrap jobs I have ever received in shipping. Home Depot rules.

Cheap plastic. One of the hinge posts already broke off during installation. The latching design barely holds the door closed. Definitely not worth the $48 I paid.
