Customer Reviews for AeroGarden Sprout LED with Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit in Red

I bought this out of curiosity, and I am so glad I did. The set up was easy, and I had my Aerogarden up and running within a few minutes of opening the box. I first noticed growth after 3 days. I have attempted to grow vegetables outdoors, but had little success for my efforts compared to flowers. I am looking forward to my first salad (which should be soon based upon the growth of my salad greens). It looks great in my kitchen. I wish I would have bought it sooner - I love it.

I purchased a 3 pod red color Sprout LED, and love it. I am presently growing Bok Choy, and they are presently about 4 inches high. I plan to stir fry them in garlic and butter, as soon as they are large enough to be cut. I have had Bok Choy before, and it is a chinese type vegetable that is delicious cooked this way. I have four other Aerogardens, one is a six pod all with the Mighty Miniature Tomato's on them and a nine pod with all Herb (custom) garden (marjoram, lime basil, cilantro, rosemary, chives, shunku (chinese), sage, tyme, terrigon). I also have two red six pod Aerogardens that contain a variety of custom lettuce's. I have been enjoying growing inside my house, since Florida has very humid summer weather, and is nice to be able to grow comfortably inside. Also, I am immunosuppressant, due to my double lung transplant last year and antirejection medications, so growing not in the dirt is much cleaner for my health, it is much more risk free. Besides, also, the lettuce salads have been plentiful and very delicious too!

Love this thing ! It’s smaller, but it’s perfect for tight spaces and makes an awesome night light

Purchased recently ... high hopes .... started with a small one ... one pod has sprouted... the other two are not quite popped yet

I bought the 3 and the 7 pod Aerogardens. Every pod with either the preseeded or my own pods sprout every time. The plants grow right before your eyes. From vegetables to flowers to lettuce they all grow.

I have purchased two Sprouts (1LED 1 Fluorescent). Of the six seed pods only two have sprouted. Don't know if this is a Sprout problem or a seed pod problem. The water tank has a tendency to bow out at the sides slightly.

I love this garden and I feel like a master gardener with my results.

I bought this with the tomato pods and there are so many tomatoes and flowers more than I could believe. They’re not ready to harvest yet so as for taste I don’t know but as for growth superb .

I received one as a gift and liked it so much I have one as a gift too.

The directions were easy to follow and I am happy to say it is working great. I can't wait to have fresh herbs all Winter!! Brings a little of Spring and Summer to a long dark season. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second AeroGarden and I was very excited to receive one that has herbs. The set up is easy and I love the new LED Lights! The pump is pretty quiet but you cannot put the garden in the sunlight or under any cabinets that have lighting so I had to move this to my living room. No matter! Just set it and forget it! Basil grows quickly and I expect to see some sprouting within 2 weeks! I am definitely going to get another for tomatoes but a bigger model one than this because it is very small. Makes a great gift for cooks as well as gardeners, fresh dill is hard to find in my neighborhood so I am really looking forward to growing my own!

Much simpler than my Bounty (was an addition). Looks great in any room. Great gift for a beginner.

Hope this Sprout comes back in stock. Have purchased four of them (one did completely quit) and they are ideal for small spaces. Love having blooming flowers inside all year long.

The Sprout died after first planting. The lights don't turn on and the pump stopped working.

This is really noisy and the plants do NOT grow as well as in the other Aerogardens. Yes I put the same seed pods in this garden at the same time as in my much older Bounties and the new slim line unit. Save your money and by the slime line if you want small or better yet get the bounty. more flexable.

Excellent starter garden. Just received the six pod one. Looking forward to more growth and garnish/eating. ;)

I do like the improvements that have been made. Right now I have 3 aerogardens - all are Sprouts. One in the living/dining area filled with flowers. Two in the kitchen with herbs and bok choy (at the present time).

I got the mini tomatoes in the sprout mini garden. I started them out and actually had four plants sprout from each one of the pods. I have 6 cuttings but that I took from those plans and went ahead and potted and they are doing well. Plus we have gotten a ton of tomatoes on the ones in the sprout and now they are starting to turn red. It seems like every other day we have a few we can pick. It has been very fun and it is very functional!

I gave this as a gift to a friend who lives a couple blocks away. She's constantly bringing over fresh dill and basil because AeroGarden is producing more than she can use. Guess I need to get one of these myself!

I gave 3 aero gardens. One of the Sprouts is very noisy, but works. Cherry tomato never bloomed/gree tomatoes. Lettuces n herbs do well.

The sprout is a little small so I purchased the six pod unit and received it the other day. I thought I ordered the herb pack that contained cilantro and was very disappointed it did not come with any cilantro at all. This herb is one reason I purchased the aerogarden in the first place.....

I absolutely love this product. There were fast results with little work. I am a disabled veteran that is unable to physically do the work of a regular garden. This does all the work for you. It only took a couple of days before I began to see growth. Additionally, I have been able to enjoy fresh basil and rosemary in my dishes which has made a big difference in flavors. I would recommend this to anyone that has wanted a garden but has been unable to physically do it! This is your answer!

This product is a good idea but it’s lacking in basic functionality. My biggest complaint is the light timer. If you’re like me and your sprout is going to be in a room you use regularly you may wish to turn the light off but the timer doesn’t stop so you get weird problems like you turn it on in the morning and it turns off 1 hour later. The pod holes are too close together. Only one plant thrives, obscuring the other two. The tank runs out very quickly and there is no easy way to see this unless you check it up close daily. It does grow plants well and we have enjoyed having the fresh herbs. 5 months in and I’m still not sure what I think of it.

We have four different aerogardens but just bought this -pod as a gift for a neighbor. She loves it and is already harvesting romaine lettuce.
