Replacement easy but disappointed that we had to replace after only 4 yrs.

installed 2 Hawkins ceiling fans in my home..both light switches are not working..had to replace both...so don't waste your time with ceiling fans made by HAMPTON BAY....YOULL REGRET IT..!!!

The light kit is easy to install and everything but the light bulbs needed for this product your store's have stopped selling. Have had this product for about a year now.

Easy to install

Pretty easy fix. Been without a light for two years. Ha.

It's a bit annoying that the replacement for the Hamilton Bay fan light switch is a whole kit but it's pretty easy to replace and works just fine.

It was exactly a plug and play part for my ceiling fan.

We bought the original ceiling fan from you at Home Depot. The light kit switch jammed for no reason. I got this part, got it installed and got it to work. That’s the big thing, but I’m not pleased that the original one flaked out. Given the history, we’ll have to see how long this one lasts.

I purchased a Hampton Bay ceiling fan and the light switch didn't work. Rather than uninstalling the ceiling fan to return it, I decided to just buy a replacement switch. Unfortunately, the switch is sealed inside this light kit, so you have to replace the entire light kit. This design is wasteful and expensive, but the new light kit does work better. It's also convinced me to never buy another Hampton Bay product.

Ridiculous on having to buy this entire piece to replace the defective light switch. Recently, had to replace the fan switch which became defective after some use. Luckily, I had a spare off brand switch to replace that one.

The part was exactly what I needed and was easy to install.

This part is what I needed, sort of. I only needed the switch that is on this light fitting, but is enclosed in a case that cannot be opened nor repaired. So, it works, but it could have been a much less expensive repair.

The item was built for my fan, so fit perfectly. Though not clearly shown or described in the item's pictures, it included the three horizontal screws that attach the unit to the fan, which was a good thing, as I needed those as well.

The threading on the bolt was half an inch shorter than the original it replaced. I could not fit the lighting cover back on the “Hawkins” ceiling fan as a result. Very disappointed. It’s the same manufacturer and everything.

The operation model does not make any sense to me. Changing the switch mechanism is complex. If I would've know this back then I wouldn't have purchased this fan

It did not work. It fit the fan, but I cannot get the remote to work with it.
