Great Dishwasher at a Great Price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old dishwasher had died and when I looked to repair it I found that I could purchase this new Amana for only $100 more than the repair. It was easy to install and it works great. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive models but it does everything I need! I love it!

Broken after 1 year and 2 months!
The water pump that drains the machine quit working about a year after purchasing this new dishwasher (2 months past the warranty period). My last dish washer lasted 14 years. Don't buy this machine; it is not a good investment!

Dishrinser
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually, that should be minus one star. This 'dishwasher' is completely worthless, that's why I call it my dishrinser. Dishes MUST be scrubbed before putting them in the dishrinser, otherwise they will not get clean. So -- how is that saving water, energy or time?

Great dishwasher
We needed to replace our old one and we got this one. It handles everything and then some. The only thing about about the set up is that it should have stated about needed an special elbow to hook up the water supply on the outside of the box. Our old one didn't have that elbow and we didn't know we needed it until we open the box and looked at the instructions and had to go back to the store to get it.

Cheap and inexepensive
Have owned for 18 months, entry level, but also low end. Clips holing the top rack in broke after 6 months. Circulation pump went out after 18 months. Lacking basic features such as delayed start and is very noisy.

Very Poor
D/W came with a new house. I must say it worked fine for about 15 months. Then it stopped draining at the end of the washing cycle. The repairman said that all the functions of the D/W were working properly but that the controller (motherboard) had become defective.

Not a great dishwasher
We recently purchased a brand new home (we are the first owners) and this was the dishwasher installed by the builder. We have been in this house for just under a month and we are rather disappointed with the dishwasher. It is noisy, the racks are poorly laid out (it looks roomy but doesn't really fit much), and even with us essentially cleaning our dishes prior to running them in this dishwasher, it doesn't get our dishes clean. I get that it is a low level dishwasher, but it is a waste of money to buy this.

It's an Amana!
I've only had this dishwasher for about 1 month. I've used it every day. I really like the window to see the level of the sparkling rinse additive. I'm using Cascade Ultimate pods & the Cascade Sparkling Rinse additive. I have a very high iron content in my water even though I have a water treatment system but it doesn't take out all the iron. So far my white Correllware has stayed WHITE!! Amana & Cascade work well together.

Looks great, easy to use, fairly quiet
I have had this for 2 months, it does exactly what a dishwasher in this price range should do- washes dishes. Do not load it up tight, and be sure to use plenty of quality detergent- a spot remover is recommended. I used my existing insulating blanket, made it quiet.

Dissatisfied with product as delivered
Out it the box-no sound-deadening insulation or a hard-wired plug...had to install same from old unit myself. The unit works well, relatively quiet. I see no justification for not including the aforementioned items in the unit !!

Fair design
Washer works well and dishes are clean. The silverware tray should be on the front of the washer or at least be able to change its location. It's difficult to put items toward the back of the tray without pulling the whole wheel assy. out towards the front .Sharp knifes get stuck in the tray.
The door springs could be designed better for ease of opening and holding open.
Cups are hard to fit in the top tray.

Amana Products throughout the home
My Amana Dishwasher was included in the purchase of my home. The dishwasher cleans dishes well for the most part. I find that if I don't rinse the dishes well before putting them into the dishwasher that the dishes are not always clean. The top rack doesn't seem to hold my glasses and cups readily. I am often re-adjusting and pushing them into place. I get somewhat cranky about this. The dishwasher is average noise wise when compared to other dishwashers I have owned. It is a solid appliance and I would say that I would purchase another one.

Fair cleaning
Not informed this was a discontinued I tem, not reflected in cost. Dishes not clean and still wet after heat drying. No insulation blanket provided with install and cabinet screws are not flush.
