I see a lot of disappointment in these reviews but I had my crimpers dialed to the default setting of 0 and all of my 1/2” crimp rings were “GOs”. You need to ensure the ring is centered perfectly in the middle of the crimper’s jaws or else even pressure will not be distributed around the crimp ring and you will get a “NO GO”. Have to be very precise and meticulous or else it doesn’t work. I will say I can’t imagine this crimped holding up for more than 4-5 projects; you get what you pay for!

The screw that you can loosed to do the calibration snapped in two. I saw other reviews saying this tool was made of cheap metal, but thought I would give it a try. Lesson learned.

the metal is too soft and warps around the calibration/adjustment screw so does not tighten the ring adequately. very disappointed and frustrated- looks like we will be replumbing. Again. We live ~50 miles from a Home Depot so living without water until we can get back to return and find a new tool.

The calibration setting kept stripping and miving back to zero and the go no go tool would mot fit on any of the crimp rings. Cheap tool. Dont waste your money.

This tool crimped too tightly at the lowest setting. At a certain angle the go-no-go gauge flagged it as too tight. Didn't realize it until my 6th crimp or so. Can't wait to return this tool and redo all that work. Will not be buying any more Apollo tools.

Works well with copper PEX clamps, but not the SS PEX clamps.

This tool should NOT be sold. Have used many crimping tools Rigid, sharkbite. The adjustment bolt is completely ridiculous!! Or will break a copper ring in half at (2). Even at 0 it scars the copper ring witht he teeth up top!! This tool cost me a 2 days of time due to the poor performance . I am taking this piece of junk back tommorow!!

I previously used the shark bite brand, but loaned it out or lost it. Decided I'd buy this one. That was a mistake. The crimp jaws have "teeth" that gouge into the ring, and the final crimp is oblong and not evenly crimped. I plumbed a toiled with this and there are no leaks, however I am going to re-do it for pace of mind. Also the instructions are WRONG. I've seen in multiple reviews peolle complaining it can't be adjusted for less clamp force (below 0) however number should actually INCREASE.

I put average, as the pictured product is not what I bought. Right Manufacturer, and correct class of tool, but what you have pictured is not what I bought. I bought a crimping tool to use with PEX plumbing materials, but the one I purchased

Best tool spent for work needed.

As others have mentioned, the adjustment bolt failed, and the adjustment slipped back past zero, so the crimps I'd been making were leaking. Since this tool is designed to make joints that will be buried in a wall for years, this is a serious flaw!

Don't waste your money. The adjustment bolt doesn't hold. When my Go/No-Go gauge indicated that I needed to increase the force, I adjusted the tool. But on the first crimp it went right back to 0. I was confused as to why my rings didn't seem to get crimped any smaller, so I checked and the adjustment was back to 0. I tried again, same result. I'm mad that I spent $70 on this piece of junk and I hope that the rings I crimped with it will hold. I switched to clamp rings and clamping tool from Sharkbite for the next phase of the job.

I bought a number of little items as well, and with a clerks help, I could locate them all. He even made some suggestions.

Home Depot installers caused damage to my home and trying to get my money back for the damage or the materials and services provided has been a nightmare!
