A: The Apollo Pipe Cutter is for flexible plastic pipe only.
A: Assuming you mean poly butylene risers, yes.
A: I believe this was for plastic pipe.
A: No, this pipe cutter will not cut metal pipe. This pipe cutter is for use with flexible plastic pipe only, such as PEX, PE-RT, HDPE, vinyl tubing.
A: This is meant to cut softer material, in this case it’s for cutting PEX tubing. It would not work to cut metal. You need a cutting tool with a cutting wheel on it.
A: No, it's for plastic/vinyl pipe/tubing.
A: No. It wouldn’t cut any diameter metal pipe or tubing.
A: I have not had that problem. Sharkbite can be finicky sometimes so I would return for replacement.
A: I would not leave that bit of plastic. I always trim it off smooth with a sharp knife or razor blade. Don't leave it chance. Take a couple more seconds to ensure you don't have a leak.
A: Make sure you take a little pressure off at the end of each cut, also remember to rock the cutter slightly up and down. I got good clean cuts in both new 1/2” PEX and PEX service lines that still had water in them.
A: Don’t waste your money it’s junk and it’s cheaply made!!
A: The cut should be clean with no burrs or lips
