AnswersI have not cut PVC with this tool, only PEX. In my opinion, it will easily cut schedule 20 PVC. I would not attempt to cut schedule 40 PVC with this device.

AnswersYes but you must be careful how you use it. I will be using a SharkBite on the end of my pipe. Cut must be bur free and at 90 degrees. Don't plan on using this for a big project but if using it to do some DIY project its a good deal. I have only one use for it today. It is also small enough I can get it back behind things to cut existing pipe.

AnswersNo, it isn’t. I turned the pipe slowly and tried to keep it straight while cutting. It’s very sharp and cuts through easily.

Pipe Cutter
This pipe cutter is for PEX pipe ONLY! I'm just assuming that all the bad reviews of this product are the same results of why I ended up with it. hopefully this review will save people from the same trouble as me as the product only specifies in 1 tiny place that it is for PEX pipe.

Fantastic and easy to use. Using these made me...
Fantastic and easy to use. Using these made me feel more confident about my cuts. These cutters do make it easier because they have a thick ledge to hold the pex flat while you make the cut. Very handy and big time saver. I made my own manifold behind the hot water heater with these cutters.

Cheap Tool Results - steer clear
Cant seem to cut 1/2in pex straight. Returing product to get a ratcheting style or other. I would steer away from this tool. Im a DIYer and perfectionist and going from copper to pex is a dream but this tool is a headache.
