I bought two Arlo doorbells, one for the front and one for the back. I tried installing the first by myself, got to the finish and the unit "timed out" while "searching for an Arlo device to add". When I went back to the device, it was reflecting no lights, so I looked up solutions online and had a chat with Arlo support. We tried resetting the device, turning off power at the breaker and back again, nothing worked. So I had an electrician already coming later in the week for another job, I just figured I'd bite the bullet and have him do both installs. He couldn't get the one unit to work either, so we tried the second unit, got all the way through setup again and at the very same point, the unit timed out and we lost all the lighting on the device. He took the device off and confirmed the unit was receiving power. He had just installed a new transformer for me to insure we had at least 16 volts getting to the device, but no luck. He finally had to give up. I called Arlo support, and they ran me through the same steps (reset device, check the power) and ultimately just told me to return to HD. Very disappointed to have bought two of these devices, and cannot setup even one. Arlo support was not helpful at all. Best wishes to anyone else that tries these devices.

Arlo includes a power pack that is installed with the system to power the video doorbell and it interfers with the doorbell chime operation. The video portion of the doorbell functions properly. This problem persists even though all of Arlo's system requirements being met. Arlo cannot troubleshoot this. Found that this is a known issue and Arlo cannot fix it. Ultimately, the question is: is the price of replacing a functioning doorbell with a doorbell that does not ring just to have a video of who's at your door worth it?

Motion Zones Are Worthless
Motion zones are worthless. Even with a sensitivity set to 1, I still get a motion alert for every car that drives by way outside of the motion zone. My previous Ring died of a power surge, and the Arlo was on a black friday special, so I gave it a try. I will be taking this back and going back to Ring. They both charge for video storage, but at least their motion zones work.
