When a jar fits on both top twisting jaw and bottom holding jaw, I found it works well. It opened a pickle jar and jam jar easily as they were pretty straight. It couldn’t grip other jars that had a little shape to them. Most of my jars are that way. Ones that I would have thought would work. No on Eden’s apple sauce, Newman’s own sockaroo I sauce. Yes on Mt Olive pickles and Eden’s apple butter.

I wish it worked a little faster, but I learned to open my jars before I start cooking so I’m better prepared. I tried opening a jar one day and was unsuccessful because I had pain in my hands and wrist. I quickly grabbed the jar opener and let it do the work that I couldn’t.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had mixed feelings about this jar opener. I love that I no longer have to struggle with opening a jars, but also gets scared when it pops at the end. If you get scared easily I would recommend starting back when it’s opening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an elderly father and I myself also have issues opening super tight jars. I usually resort to the “rubberband” method to open jars. Sometimes it doesn’t totally work. With this mechanical jar opener, my hands don’t hurt force opening the jar. The contraption needs 2 double a batteries to run and is not included in the package. No problem. Easy install of the batteries on top. To work the jar opener, just place the contraption on top of the jar you want to open and simply push the green button. It’s kind of loud but totally hands free! The scary part is when it twists the lid open violently. If you’re not prepared, it will be loud. Solid product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is SEMI hands free. You still have to position the contraption on the jar and hold it there until it slowly closes around the jar. I guess it is good for REALLY hard to open jars, but it is bulky and slow. I think hot water and a good tap on a hard surface would be faster and easier. It does come with a user manual. 2 AA batteries NOT included.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Robo Twist Electric Jar Opener because sometimes I have a hard time opening jars. Please note, this does not come with batteries so make sure you have some AA batteries on hand. I've tried it on several different sized jars & it did open the jars but a couple times it slipped off right after the lid loosened. To get it to work there is a button on top you push. Instead of just pressing the button once & letting go, you have to keep holding the button down. It also moves VERY slowly & always returns to the same, widest position. I wish I could push the button to stop it at the setting I want. I would prefer it to be at the smallest, more compact size to make it easier for storage but it always reverts back to the widest setting. Overall, for people that really struggle with opening jars, the product does what it says it will do but I do think there is room for improvements.

This little opener fits all size jars and adapts to fit the lid and then proceeds to open it with no problem. It takes 2 AA batteries and works great. I am just happy I don't have to hit the tops on floors or counters any more. This is my favorite kitchen gadget.

While I love fulfilling my manly duties opening jars for my wife, whenever I’m not there she can’t open a jar to save her life. I bought this opener to solve that. My wife loves it and she can use it to open any jar she’s needed to!

This miracle is so easy to use and it’s tough as nails when it goes after the lids. I couldn’t believe how much force it put on the lid to open it! It’s like a bear! Well made and looks like it will last many years. One tip..use on a dry, warm jar. It slipped when it’s cold and damp jar. My bad. Very happy to have this!

Especially large ones m hands can't get a grip on. It will open the largest to even the smallest jars. Works quickly, and efficiently. Be prepared when the jar opens, the first time I used it if there is a lot of pressure it POP'S it open, made me jump! lol This product is the perfect addition to kitchen gadgets, a must have!! I highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so now that my husband is having trouble opening jars we have gone through a slew of gadgets but they still required some manual twisting. Oh but this opener does it all for me. Yes it took a few tries to figure out how to properly place it on a jar and yes it works better if the jar has no condensation and is at room temperature. But so do the manual jar openers. This little machine requires 2 AA batteries and is about the size of a 20 ounce mug. I have already bought a few more for my sister and brother. This item does not disappoint. Now if this company can make a version that will open disposable water bottles I would be the first to buy it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best kitchen gadgets I have got. Having carpal tunnel and arthritis it makes opening jars extremely hard when they are sealed super tight. Using it the first time when the lid pops off it made me jump, but I am now use to it. All you have to do is make sure your glass jar is on a leveled surface and push the button until the outer part grabs the bottle and it will continue doing its thing until it twists the top of the bottle off. Also, make sure that if there is any seal on the jar to remove it before using the Robo twistThe only thing is that the part that twist the bottle open sometimes doesn’t reset to its original position. When that happens all you have to do is manually put it back and it’s ready to go for your next use. I have used this on several different sized glass jars and it has done the job on small ones up to big ones that can fit into the grippers. It says do not use on anything smaller than 1.2 inch or bigger than 3.5 inch, which everything I opened in the kitchen has been between those sizes.

Having a weak grip at my age I either have to bang jar lids on the counter and risk breakage, or wait for someone to visit and remember to have them open every new jarred item for me..ugh! Now I have my handy dandy RoboTwist™ to rely on :) It did take some fumbling around and a few choice words the first time I tried it on a new never opened cold jar of pickles, but once I got the hang of getting the lower arms and feet pads open and placed correctly this little thing popped the lid right off-actually it even made me jump because I wasn't expecting it to work lol. It's loud, and sounds like the motor is going to give up while it's doing it's thing, but in seconds EXPECT and prepare for that lid to pop heehee! My only disappointment is while it says ELECTRIC it is in fact BATTERY OPERATED, I guess the definition of electric has changed because I always thought inserting 2 AA batteries means battery powered? One star off for being a bit finicky to get the lower arms to stay open to put on top of the jar because every touch or bump starts things in motion, and another star off for stating electric on the front of the box but NOT anything about batteries required, only on the back lower corner- to me that is a big deal considering it is displayed front facing. Overall I'm very excited to have this useful gadget that actually works :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the RoboTwist on a whim and haven’t looked back. No more fighting to get a jar open! No matter the size of the jar it opens it with the press of a button. It takes two AA batteries that’s are not included but it is worth every penny.

Worked as expected - absolutely fantastic.

It does the trick on all jars! Great for older folks. My problem, where to store? Can I hang it inside of a cabinet?

This is the third one I’ve had in a year. It works great, but the plastic that holds on to the jar breaks easily when in use. For future use I’ll try to find a different type of jar opener .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robo Twist Electric Jar Opener is a big help in the kitchen. I suffer from carpel tunnel and often times really struggle with jars. This device is easy to use and works quickly. I love that it makes me a little more independent and doesn't leave me waiting on my husband to open things any longer! I found it to be a little loud, but it works amazing. It works wonderful on small jars like pickles and relish, but doesn't do as well on large jars. I still love it and gets lots of use out of it. I would highly recommend this to EVERYONE who spends any time in the kitchen.
