We used this along with Behr Dark Walnut on concrete that had been previously painted with Behr Masonry Concrete paint decided to get creative by striping with Frog painters tape I've done this on previous projects no problems however we used the recommended Behr Concrete Prep it says you can roll or brush over existing paint gives better adhesion? Then I allowed amount of time specified for it to set. Now I begin alternating between Rich Brown and Dark Walnut . The formula has a anti slip ingredient which goos up in your brush bad however I just kept wiping it off and continued. Project complete now allow DRYING time as Behr specifies.! Wow was I ever suprised as I was carefully pulling up the tape not only did the BEHR anti slip paint come up in places but it pulled my original Behr paint the orange you see in photos too! There is something wrong in the formulas or I got a bad batch of paint. I've ALWAYS used BEHR paint on my wooden decks and the concrete was Behr that we painted last summer VERY dissatisfied with results. I will still use BEHR however not this NEW anti slip formula.

Hi LJ, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the coating peeled so easily. This is not normal, and I understand your disappointment. I recommend removing the loose coating, cleaning, and touching up. If using the Bonding Primer, be sure to only use on bare concrete and not the painted surfaces. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance, our customer care team is happy to help you! -Giovanna Behr

I have just acquired this BEHR khaki textured enamel paint. I have used this paint in the past and it is an excellent quality paint that is a low lustre enamel paint for interior or exterior. It is an porch and patio paint that is anti slip floor paint. I used it on a patio and this paint flows very smoothly as you roll it on. It does not scuff, fad, crack or peel. I highly recommend this quality paint.

This paint definitely earns the name 'premium enamel.' The difference is noticeable as soon as you open the can. There's a grainy texture and a more viscous quality to this mixture when compared to other interior/exterior paints. There's more weightiness on the brush, but the paint glides nicely onto the surface. When dry, there's a noticeable grit underfoot, hence the anti-slip feature. Note, the color shown is called Deep Terra Cotta, which matches the bright, burnt orange color most of us recognize. The label shows a muted walnut to maple color, which I was expecting.

This is a long review, but put the important stuff in this first paragraph ... having just applied it, I have no idea how long it will last. I know that is the most important thing I would want to know about a labor intensive project. Second, I highly recommend it for covering flaws and imperfections. It is thick (like pancake batter) and gritty. One coat covered old paint and most imperfections, but 2 coats filled in everything and made it look brand new. Third, it looks like the color on the website, if covered or shady. It is a lighter gray, in the open or sunlight. I bought a house with a pressure treated deck. The previous Owners did no maintenance (20 yrs?), and it looked horrible. I pressure washed it and the put on mahogany stain. The deck did not look like Mahogany. It looked like wet pressure treated with many old blemishes bleeding through. I did not like the look, and figure a solid stain would be better. I foolishly stained it white. It looked great, until I walked on it. I figured the first mark was the most noticeable, and it would look better when it had more wear ... but no, it looked even worse. Also, the solid stain had no grit. So, it was incredibly slippery when wet. Lessons learned. After taking some time off from this project, figure it was time for another redo. I chose this color, because I stained my outbuildings a New England Gray. I figured a darker gray would match, without looking too 'matchy'. Being exposed, I also wanted it darker, to help melt ice/snow. Started by treating it with Behr All in One Wood Cleaner (which seems to work well on bare wood, but on my solid stain, using a stiff brush [as recommended] took up a lot of the solid stain and roughed up the surface enough, that I had to sand. The cleaning, and then sanding, took more time, but probably saved me some sandpaper). Waited a day, for it to dry out and then sanded. Cleaned that up, and then applied this with a 3" flat nylon brush. It is thick. Covered in one coat, but I applied a second to fill some cracks (etc) that had settled when drying. Took about a week to do, because I moved the grill and furniture to one side, and did one half first, and when it was done, moved everything over to other side. Might have been better to move everything into the yard, but this procedure also allowed me to continue to use the back door by only doing half the walk to the door and half the steps.

For any painting project around the house we exclusively use BEHR Premium paints/stains. This includes interior walls, exterior wood trim, wood fencing and decks. This is the first time we decided to use the Anti-Slip floor paint. There are a number of different colors including varying shades of each color. The paint is thick but spreads easily. We opted for the Silver Gray since we are painting steps that lead into our garage. We were hoping the Silver Gray would resemble freshly poured cement, but it ended up a bit lighter than expected. Maybe a plain gray would have been better. As you can see we were not shooting for perfection as the stucco and surrounding areas need some attention as well. We know overtime it will get darker with wear and tear.

I can't say enough about the BEHR premium one gallon tan textured low lustre enamel interior and exterior porch and patio anti slip floor paint. I have used this in the past and am looking forward to doing our patio soon. It is of a low lustre which looks great and not to over done effect. It is of a great anti-slip agent in it and works great for safety. It has great coverage and pretty much no fading or peeling.

Great paint. A tad thicker than standard interior wall paint. Has a fairly fine, gritty, sandy quality for the anti-slip. Pacific Fog is a bit brighter than the color of concrete, if one wants something closer to the color of concrete I would suggest the "Silver Gray". Anti-Slip NOT Non-Slip: If one was wearing shoes with slippery soles and the ground was wet, one could slip. This would NOT be the fault of this paint! Extremely low odor. Cleans up like a water base paint - easy peasy! Recommend!

Paint has a nice gritty-sand like texture to it, for the most part quite fine. Could not detect an odor from this paint. Smooth and a tad thicker than standard indoor wall paint. The color appears "dark" but dries to a concrete gray (mimic of concrete color). Dry it is anti-slip however, if I was wearing slippery (cheap) flip-flop shoes and the patio was wet, I would not trust the anti-slip. Not the fault of the paint! Recommend!

Behr Premium Pacific Fog Anti-Slip Interior/Exterior Porch/Patio Textured Low-Lustre Enamel Paint...
Behr Premium Pacific Fog Anti-Slip Interior/Exterior Porch/Patio Textured Low-Lustre Enamel Paint is awesome! My wife and I couldn’t decide on Silver Gray or Pacific Fog colors so we got both, one for the porch and one for the sidewalk leading up to the porch. The darker of the two is Silver Grey which we used on the porch. The Pacific Fog was used on the sidewalk. Both paints are superb! Thick, but easily applied with a brush and roller. We didn’t need to use a base coat of concrete primer for the porch, because it wasn’t porous, but needed to use it on the sidewalk. One coat covered, but my wife wanted me to apply the entire gallon to our 5’x25’ front porch. So I got three coats applied from 1 gallon. See pics below.

When I painted the ramp and front porch with the BEHR PREMIUM 1 GAL. #PFC-35 RICH BROWN TEXTURED LOW-LUSTRE ENAMEL INTERIOR/EXTERIOR PORCH AND PATIO ANTI-SLIP FLOOR PAINT it not only provided a slip resistant surface but also hid many of the imperfections that were in the wood. The paint is nice and thick and covers beautifully. The rich brown color accents the wood around it.

Behr Premium Silver Gray Textured Low-Lustre Enamel Interior/Exterior Porch and Patio Anti-Slip Paint has excellent coverage, and only one coat did the job on my front porch. It’s very thick but goes on easily with brush and roller. Dries to the touch fast, but they recommend 2 to 4 hours in between coats. 72 hours recommended before foot traffic. Easy soap and water cleanup. See pics below.

Here I wanted to cover my first impression of Behr patio paints, i.e., three different paints. All have different color. Two different bases [before you read all below have to confess: I am a big fan of Behr paints, hard to find in my house any other type of paints] Back to the point. I have evaluated the following paints: - Premium PFC-33 Washed Khaki Textured Lustre Enamel Interior/Exterior Porch and Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint - Premium PFC-68 Silver Gray Textured Low-Lustre Enamel Interior/Exterior Porch and Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint - Premium plus S130-7 Cherry Cola exterior satin. My application is wooden deck. I applied all paints on a small area to see how they will look. All look good and holding great (at least for a few days). My family voted for Cherry Cola (we had something similar, but custom blend before). However, I made mistake (that you can use to learn) you better to order textured enamel – it feels much better for barefoot and according to claim (which I believe 100%) it provides anti-slip properties. Washed Khaki or Silver Gray colors are perfect color for fence. Silver gray will look good in your garage. Both PFC paints are much thicker then S130-7 and will require some effort to mix (though when fresh color was distributed perfectly!). On flat and horizontal surfaces it is pleasure to roll with thick paints where you can roll and distribute them evenly. Though, I have perception that thin paint will penetrate pores and “cracks” of either fresh of weathered wood better (and thus be bound and protect wood for longer time). All paints will require at least two layers to provide good and uniform coverage. Take that into consideration when ordering. PFC paints can cover more than S130-7 per claims on website (I guess that is again connected to lower penetration of PFCs into pores and cracks due higher thickness) Remember to use Behr’s All-In-One Wood and Deck Cleaner prior application for best long lasting performance. Anyway I can confidently recommend all paints (as I never was wrong by choosing Behr paints)!

I am reviewing 1 gal. #PFC-35 Rich Brown Textured low-lusre enamel interior/exterior porch and patio anti-slip floor paint. This paint is being applied to a wood deck on pressure treated lumber. This wood was installed just over 2 years ago so I only needed to pick out all the leaves from in-between the boards and then sweep off the desk. This is an extremely thick product and I applies with a roller. First I used a brush to get all the way to the edge - this kept me from getting paint on the railings since I was only painting the decking surface with this anti-slip material. If you see my pictures, the second one shows the open can of paint with the stirring stick straight up in the middle of the can, that will give you a good idea just how this of a paint this is. This anti-slip paint also has some small pieces of a sand material - combined with the thick paint it gives a anti-stick surface. If your deck wood is old like maybe 10, 15 or even 20 years old, this paint can also help to add life to your deck. I used a similar paint to restore an old deck over a year ago and the paint is holding up well. I am very confident that this paint will last for many years before needing any additional attention. With an older deck, a second coat is highly recommended. This new wood looks like it will not need a second coat but if you could add a second coat, just wait for 2 hours then you can add that second coat. I applied this early in the morning when the temps were still cool for South Texas - it was about 80 degrees out and we had mostly cloudy skies. The best conditions to apply this paint are cloudy skies and temps from about 65 - 85 degrees. The manufacturer puts the upper limit on temps at 90 degrees and I would agree to avoid applying when the temps get above 90 degrees. This deck surface is about 100 square feet and we used less than 1/2 a gallon. Based on this I could get 250 or more square feet out of eat gallon. The manufacturer does have an option to spray paint this on but you have to thin it and use the correct paint sprayer. I included 6 pictures that show the paint, the deck before applying the paint and the deck during then after paint was applied. I definitely recommend this anti-slip paint, especially for the kiddos or anywhere the deck gets wet very often. Love the product, going to work on painting the other deck surfaces we have.

The BEHR PREMIUM 1 GAL. #PFC-25 DARK WALNUT TEXTURED LOW-LUSTRE ENAMEL INTERIOR/EXTERIOR PORCH AND PATIO ANTI-SLIP FLOOR PAINT is a game changer in our basement remodeling project. We are using this in the bedroom to give the cement floor a rich and warm finished that will complement our area rug. MAKE SURE TO CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO AVOID ANY ISSUES!

I guess if you were using this product to paint your garage floor it would serve for a clean decorate look.. But, I would not recommend this product for use on a porch or patio where bare footed people would be walking around. It is very slippery when wet when walking around with bare feet. The proper paint for the porch and patio would be the anti slip paint if using around the pool areas.

Hi BJSlowMotionDeckBuilder - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the finish is very slippery when wet! To fix, we recommend cleaning the surface with soap and water once the paint has completely cured (this takes 4 weeks) which will remove any residue that may be causing the finish to feel slippery. You may also want to apply a coat of our Porch & Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint to help prevent slips as well (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-1-gal-PFC-23-Tan-Textured-Low-Lustre-Enamel-Interior-Exterior-Porch-and-Patio-Anti-Slip-Floor-Paint-623001/313152973). My front porch was in desperate need of a makeover! I purchased the Behr Premium, Low-Lustre Enamel Porch & Patio Floor Paint (1 gal). I choose the Deep Terra Cotta shade. I forgot to take some before pictures but found some video from Halloween last year so I'm using those as the before pics. I am very pleased with the one-coat coverage!

I purchased this product this product approx. 2 summers ago. By the early fall, of that same year, this paint was failing. I contacted Behr, sent pics and they sent me more product to fix the issue. So the following spring, I had to clean, repaint and reapply the product to my outdoor concrete patio area. I followed all of the required prep that was needed. By late summer of that year the product had begun to fail and peel again. I again called Behr and was contacted by a claim specialist. I filled out a form and emailed him pics and have not heard from them since. All I wanted was my money back for the 3 gallons that I originally purchased. This has been a 2 year ordeal and the patio that was painted looks terrible. DO NOT buy this product, especially if you’re going to use it outside. Behr was all about sending more crappy product, buy when it came to refunding customers or making it right, they did not want anything to do with it. So not only have I had to paint the same area 4 times, but I’m out $90 plus dollars and my patio looks like garbage. I’ll have to paint it again, but I won’t be buying this garbage to fix it.

Hi Ronald, we appreciate your feedback. We're sorry to hear your coating has peeled multiple times; that's not the experience we want our customers to have with our products. As the representatives mentioned when you called in, to fix the peeling on your surface, we'd recommend removing all the loose paint before cleaning your surface, spot priming (if peeling to a bare surface), and touching up. Customer satisfaction is important to us. So, I would encourage you to reach back out to us so we can look into assisting you with your request and making things right. Have a wonderful Wednesday! –Joanna Behr

I'm so frustrated with this, I can hardly stand it. I sanded my wood floors, I used the Behr indoor/outdoor primer, I timed each coat as I was advised and made sure not to lay on each coat too thick. I was lucky to leave town for five days after painting, which gave the paint well over the 72hrs recommended to dry, but I still tried to be very careful, as it was still very tacky. It has now been over a MONTH since I painted, I finally used a chair, and the legs immediately gouged into the paint, which still feels tacky and peels up easily when slightly scratched with a fingernail. I don't know how on earth to fix this mess, or if the paint will EVER dry.

      Hi LCR,

Thank you for your review, and I am sorry to hear the paint still feels tacky after allowing it to dry for a month. I can assure you this isn't normal. To fix, I'd recommend cleaning the surface with soap and water; this will help remove the sticky residue. To correct any of the peeling or scratches, sand any of the affected areas, clean the surface, spot prime and reapply the paint. To help with this, please reach out to us directly; we'd love to help in any way we can. -Edith Behr

Hi Ruth, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the finishing color of your Porch & Patio Floor Paint wasn't what you were expecting it to be. To verify if the color was mixed correctly, we’d suggest checking that the physical color swatch matches the paint dab on the lid of your paint can. If they match, the paint was properly mixed, and the color is correct. And in cases like this, the best solution would be to recoat in a different color. If the swatch doesn’t match the dab on your can’s lid, the color was incorrectly mixed. And we’d suggest recoating with new paint tinted to the correct color. Please keep in mind that different lighting will affect how a color looks and that our online color palette display may vary slightly from the actual colors due to color variances in monitor settings. To ensure you’re getting the right color for the area you are planning on painting, we recommend picking up a sample of the color and applying it first before purchasing your paint. Customer satisfaction is important to us. So, don't hesitate to contact us directly if you need further assistance. Have a wonderful day! –Joanna Behr

Im a 63 year old grandmother who hates to go to the hardware store. Home depot delivered this with no shipping charge! What a bargain! High quality paint without any of the hassle! This paint is absolutely wonderful. I washed my concrete walkways, applied Behr bonding primer for concrete as instructed and apllied one coat of this paint. Three days of work, less than two hours a day, I had a porch and walkway that is absolutely beautiful. This paint is durable. It has held up to the torrential rains we had in California and did not blister, peel or fade. I went to clean up after the storm and my patio looks like I just painted it.

I used this product in this color and gloss in a finished basement that had flooded. After I ripped out my old cork flooring and all of my wall trim I wanted to find something that would cover stains, add some color, and look like with furniture and a few area rugs. I did not use this as instructed. I was not willing to rent a diamond sander (because of cost), patch pits (because of time), or etch (because of chemicals and the issue of getting a large amount of water in and out of an area with no drains). My concrete is from the 70s and started out feeling like fine grit sandpaper. The very helpful man at home depot pointed out this paint and explained that with how ruff and absorbent my concrete was I would likely need two coats rather than one. I definitely needed two coats and I am glad he talked me into an extra gallon of paint. The color goes on very even and dried the same color on top of brown, black, and white stains as it did over my grey concrete. I waited overnight before I added my second coat. After my second coat I waited 24 hours before I walked across it. It felt sticky on my toes so I turned my heat up and it finished drying quickly. For the very small amount of cost and effort this project took my floor looks really good. This paint filled small cracks and small pits, it made the floor look more smooth and even. If I would have taken the time to patch and sand the floor would look like I just planned on having painted floors and it was not a flood related fix. I would use this paint again. The colors are wonderful and it does not smell at all.

Color Did Not Match Brochure Sample, but Behr Customer Service responded well.
The actual color of the paint was several shades lighter than that depicted in the brochure and did not come close to matching, even though we had compared it in several locations under a variety of daylight conditions. Behr Customer Service has been very responsive and worked hard to provide customer satisfaction.

The paint has held up good so far, but it looks MUCH more country blue than a blue/grey. It was shocking at first, but over some time it settled. I don't mind it so much to change the color but expect more blue out of this color.
