Works great

Used it to clear an overgrown garden at the neighbours house and it plowed through some very heavy stuff with no effort. So the battery lasts a long time.

This product only lasts two years. I have bought two and learned my lesson. Look at other brands that are more reliable.

Works very well, and unit is not too heavy. Another larger battery is on my shopping list, the include 2.5Ah one provides about 25 minutes of runtime on the eco mode... Luckily I have a few batteries on charger from my other B&D tools

Goes thru battery like pouring water. Need 6 batteries just to trim one yard

Easy to use as an edger! I love this trimmer.

It took 6 to 7 hours to charge it’s battery. So I returned it back to local store.

I bought first one Feb.2021 the line feed failed it was replaced May 2021 the line feed failed again will not buy B+D again

I love the ease of using this equipment, as a first time user! Eventing about it I loved. Fun to use EXCEPT that battery..uggh. I wanted to give it an excellent rating but my dissatisfaction with the battery life prevents me from doing so. 3-6 hours of charging gives you 40 mins of usage time..hmmm that's a big negative. Other than that great product. I probably will replace it with another brand

Generally the string trimmer works okay but the AFS feature does not work well. It feeds string when there is no need to feed string and it feeds too much and slaps the guard assembly making a horrible noise. The cutting feature in the guard assembly does not cut the string so I carry a pair of wire cutters with me and manually trim the line when this happens. Black and Decker should just go back to a bump feed feature. I would not buy another model with the AFS feature.

If you are looking for a powerful trimmer - this could be the one. Easy to use basically right out of the box, the wheel feature really makes edging your sidewalks a breeze and does a great job. More than enough power and with no cord dragging behind you - this is a dream to use. One thing - I put my battery on the charge and it took about 10 hours to fully charge - but I did use it after a few hours and it performed perfectly. I was worried the battery was faulty but no, it just takes that long on your first charge. I think subsequent charges will be faster but that is something I have to find out. Regardless, this is a great edger for the $$ and I searched for about a week before I decide on this one - I'm happy I ordered it. So far, so good.

My wife loves it, now she gets out in the yard with me.

Great for small yards. I use the B&D, with and without the detachable mower platform, in my front yard, and gas powered tools for the bigger job out back. Very convenient.

I like everything about this weed eater except that when you start it you have to hold down a button on the handle to keep it engaged. It is very difficult to hold that and the power button at the same time. If I had known that I would not have ordered it, but everything else works great.

This Weedwhacker is light enough for senior citizens, short enough for short people, and powerful enough to handle thick weeds. Initially, I was concerned that I only had one battery, but that battery lasts for both back and front yards.

I’m a senior citizen and am able to use the trimmer/ lawn edger with no problem. It definitely makes it a joy to keep my property neat!

I purchased this for my wife to use. She loves it. It’s light weight, easy to operate with the automatic line feed, and the head rotates 180° with the pull of a lock ring. I already own a B&D leaf blower & hedge trimmer so I have plenty of batteries. The 2.5 Ah battery that was included does over 350’ of edging on a single charge. Great trimmer, great price.

This is really a nice light weight trimmer. It runs a very long time on one battery. Like the automatic line feed also. I am satisfied with it.

I'm rating 3 stars because this unit has preformed well....this time. This is the third unit of its kind. (Hooray for extended warranties!) The first two had a different feed mechanism that simply was a poor design, and which failed on me twice. This new one is improved, and is doing the job quite well so far. That said, I use this for light duty work only. This trimmer was not meant for heavy jobs. I do like it for touch-ups around the yard between major maintenance weeks. I like the fact that it's light weight.

This was a replacement for an identical trimmer that I wore out edging and trimming about 300 ft of lawn and curbing. My only complaint with it is that the automatic line feed doesn't always work and I have to take the spool cover off and advance the line.
