Rice recepient got scratches pretty quick. Would hope that we can buy only the recipient. Would be more ecological then buying the full product (which we got from an other brand)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought this almost 2 months ago and the lid screw and handle got off. i never did anything wrong, i put it in the top dishwasher rack (as written) and this happened to me. i’m very disappointed since it’s still new

easy to use, rice comes out just like I hoped it would. its a little hard to see the water measurement markers on the dark Teflon coated liner but it doesn't seem to make much difference as the rice cooks perfectly each time.

I purchased my Black+Decker 6-cup Rice Cooker over a month ago at The Home Depot, and, since, then, I have used it quite often; moreover, I have enjoyed this product's ability to cook more than rice because this rice cooker has the flexibility to be a steamer as well; and, with this understanding, this rice cooker comes with a food steamer, a rice paddle, and a measuring cup as well, which has only enhanced my cooking experience. Howbeit, I do dislike the one temperature setting as I think this feature could be altered by developing different temperature settings for different types of rice, and steamed foods to avoid the scorching of some quickly cooked foods as this rice cooker can cook more than rice. Here, I would recommend that other owners of this product to check on foods that cooks in less than an hour to check on your meal, and stir to avoid scorching. However, despite, my dislike of the temperature settings, I still love my Black+Decker 6-cup Rice Cooker as it has totally met all of my expectations.

I brought this in jan, best one on market, better than anyone out there.

I like the fact that I had a steamer basket included and it has a cook and warm feature the removable nonstick cooking bowl is absolutely awesome the fact that it has a extra built-in lid holder is convenient as well overall I really enjoyed this product!

I have had my 6 cup rice cooker for 5 years now. Cooker still works just as great as when I first used it.

Delicious rice & steamed veggies when I use any kind of broth.

As others have stated, if you read the instructions and helpful hints, the rice cooker will work fine, with no issues. Use the measuring cup that came with the cooker. Rinse the uncooked rice first. Add water using the corresponding level line on the inside of the pot, then add your rice. Stir in some salt, if desired. While cooking, if the water starts boiling over the lid, or through the steam vent opening, remove the lid and stir the rice for a minute, then place the lid back on. You may have to do this a couple of times, until the water level starts evaporating. Unattended cooking is not recommended. I had to stir mine twice during cooking. No boil overs or steam spraying through the lid. Rice was perfect. I like the small size. Holds just over 2 cups of raw rice, makes up to 3 cups of cooked rice. Great little cooker. I recommend it.

I have purchased this one to replace identical that served me well from 2012 til 2022. However, the quality went down precipitously and the only designed to last a few dozen times you use them. Why did they reduced the quality keeping the same price?

i received this rice cooker and I'm very pleased. I made some rice and it was delicious. There was no work to it - just add water, ingredients and plug in and in less than l/2 hour the rice was cooked.

Small enough for 1person

I just bought this rice maker. I make rice daily and it is really saving me so much time and energy. Just flip the switch and walk away. Love it!

Cooker works fine...but be aware this is NOT a 3 cup unit, it will only accommodate 1 1/2 cups

Rice cooker works well... Be aware that the capacity is only 1 1/2 Cups not 3 Cups as advertised. Rather disappointing

This is a perfect little rice cooker. Feeds family of 4. Love it, so easy and quick. I can have rice cooking and not have to think about it while I am cooking other food to go with it. Great for when I am out side on the grill.
